Great value for the money. Great cottages at a clean and nice lake where you can swim and fish. Cottage also included a rowing boat and a sauna. Kids get to ride a pony which was clearly a highlight of our holiday. The people were so nice and hospitable that we felt our stay really homely. They eaven offered their own extra room for us for the night when we asked a room for another night and all the cottages were already taken. Ihan huippu paikka. Ihmiset, paikka, mökki, hevoset, ratsastus, opettaja, järvi.. kaikki. Mennään aivan varmasti uudelleen.

A cozy place in the middle of beautiful Finnish landscape region with many possibilities. In the summertime you can just spend your time in a cottage and enjoy Finnish wild nature and countrylife or swim, fish, row, canoe, walk, hike, cycle, horseride. Nearby big lakes with streams and natural, peaceful sandbeaches with sunny pine forests. On a rainy day you can visit 7 km north " Vääräkoski" industrial museum area with pittoresq cafe or 5 km south "Killinkoski" industrial village originating end of 19th century (1880) with interesting wooden architecture (church, village houses) or north 13 km Ähtäri tourism area ( a Zoo with Finnish wild animals and hotel Mesikämmen with a spa) or south 25 km city of Virrat with museum village " Perinnekylä" full of traditional wooden Finnish houses and a working boat channel, where you can see sailingboats or motorboats passing through. There is also a steamboat (nowdays motored) connection from Tampere to Virrat ( 8 h). Or why not to cycle or take a train from Ähtäri railwaystation to nearby Tuuri shopping centre or Haapamäki railway museum (30 km both).
