We spent two weeks at Kalambo while doing research at the lake. Kennedy and Becky were incredibly warm and welcoming and were very accommodating when we didn't know how long we would need to stay or how many of us there would be! The lodge itself is beautifully built with many different communal areas to socialise in or find a peaceful spot to read and the sunsets here are stunning. The food was amazing with great variety and eating with the other guests creates a casual and sociable environment. Really hope to get back here in the future!
The place is heavenly, We loved it so much the scenery is so beautiful 😍. We didn’t want to go back we only spent a night now we plan on going back for more days . The food magnificent. We really enjoyed . Kennedy and Becky where so welcoming they made us feel and home with the rest of the staff
We visited Kalambo falls for a birthday trip. Overall it was a good trip. We had a bit of delay with boat pickup which frustrated the beginning of the trip . There was some ongoing construction while we were there which made accessing the room a tad inconvenient. Despite the inconveniences , we had a lovely time at Kalambo falls. We visited Sir Percy, did some water skiing and had a sunset cruise. The hosts and staff were accommodating.
Kalambo falls lodge is a place to be away from home. Its feels peaceful, accommodation is beautiful, the food is so delicious and the view is so amazing. Don't be left out to visit this place hurry!!!
I went to Kalambo Falls Lodge for 4 nights/5 days and absolutely loved it! The lodge itself has so much character and charm and different spaces to hang out. The food was excellent...I never ate the same meal twice! Peaceful, beautiful scenery and some nice activities to do in between. The managers Kennedy and Becky are so welcoming and willing to help make your stay enjoyable. If you find yourself up at Lake Tanganyika, I absolutely recommend a stay at Kalambo Falls Lodge.
Kennedy and Becky are the best host you could find. They Lett me feel like home. It's more than a holiday place but a place to recharge and refresh. The place is very beautiful with nice setting. The food is fantastic and fresh. The sunset is breathtaking. I will want to come back.
This lodge is a beautiful escape. Tranquil and peaceful respite from the hussle and bustle of the world. Amazing sunset cruises, beautiful scenery, friendly and accomodating staff. The food is exceptional, it's unimaginable that alot of the dishes are from only local ingredients. Don't miss this treat, everyone should visit 😊
I really enjoyed staying there, they have nice food, a lot of fish. I most liked the trip to the Kalambo falls, and snorkeling with their equipment in the clear water. What is really cool, is that they pick you up by boat, when you arrive in town, because there is no road, so you really get an undisturbed holiday in the middle of the wilderness, while being provided with everything.
We had a wonderful stay at Kalambo Falls lodge. Hope, the manager, took such good care of us, providing excellent costumer service. The lodge has style, old antiques mixed with african art. The food was delisious. We did the guided hike up to the falls, 4 hours round trip, which is unique with breath-taking sceenery through villages and fields. Great experience!
We did not stay here, but visited the lodge for the day. It has a rocky shore front which is excellent for snorkelling. They are also breeding cichlids here and have a good variety in their ponds for viewing. The Lodge is very ornate with antique furniture and ample space for relaxing by the shore
