I just spent the weekend at the Edge of the Avalon Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was great and the staff were exceptional! I felt at home the entire stay. I will definitely visit again!

I am a business man that travels daily. It is normal for me to have a Motel at least once a week. This community is a secluded piece of heaven, and hibernates in the winter months. As I had business in the area, I called to make a reservation only to find that they are seasonal. Without hesitation, the owner...

We travelled in the fog for hours and then stumbled on this place. It didn't look like much from the outside but the inside is gorgeously decorated with awesome views of the water. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. We had the fish and chips and salmon dinner which tasted amazing and was a healthy portion with some nice...

We came in off the ferry from Nova Scotia and decided to take the back roads, the shoreline roads to St John. Oops! Lots of bays, coves, inlets and hills. Our drive was pretty but slow. It was lunch time and we thought we'd stop at the next opportunity. There was NO opportunity. Eventually we rolled into Trepassey and -...

I ate here twice, it is the only game in town. Fortunately, they do not take advantage of this. The food was very good, the house salads excellent! The staff were friendly and on the ball, and it has a good, casual atmosphere with views at the front tables. Only downside was no scrunchions for my pan fried cod:( Oh...

Motel room: nothing luxurious or fancy but will meet your basic needs. Beds are firm, no cushioning. Good linens. Lots of hot water in shower. The rooms are large enough to be comfortable. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds on main floor. There was some noise from people coming in and out the side door, as well...

We stayed 2 nights as we toured the Burin penninsula and the Irish Loop. Looked plain from the outside but the inside is an art gallery. The king bed room was newly decorated and very clean. The attached dining room was available for all 3 meals. Excellent service Very good food and a spectacular view of Trepassey Bay. A very...

My wife and I ate here for dinner in August while vacationing in Newfoundland. Its basically the only place in town. We had the chicken alfredo and the caesar salad which were both very good. What made it a bad experience was the service. Our server, Judy, basically ignored us. My wife and I drink water for our meals. Halfway...

We hiked 3 days on the most southern parts of the East Coast Trail and spent two great nights at the Edge of the Avalon - highly recommend it! The food was excellent, especially the seafood fettuccine, and breakfast was hearty (important for us with the long hikes we did in the surrounding area). The bar was well stocked with...
