We were there in August 2014 with extended family (6 adults, 2 babies). We were able to get a "family suite" including a kitchenette for a reasonable price for 4 nights. The rooms are nothing fancy but they do the job and what you'd expect for a B&B. The location is awesome, easy walk to the main drag and ferry... More

I visited the Inn in June and immediately contacted others whom I knew were planning to visit the Island to check out the Bellevue. The rooms have an unassuming Island charm, the views are breathtaking and the property itself is well maintained. I would recommend this property to others vacationing on Block Island, it's easy access to town but far... More

We stayed at this Inn August 17-19th and the experience was very disappointing. First of all, the house needs serious updating-- shabby wallpaper, old carpeting, peeling paint on the ceiling. The rooms are NOT sound proof and we heard way too much from the guests across the hall who thought it was a private room! The bathroom had worn- out... More

Reading the other comments I think people mistake getting away from it all to Block Island which is great and the sloppy standards that are accepted in many places. Bellevue is well located and the grounds are pleasant. The rooms were consistently dirty, with obvious cobwebs, a couple of friendly dead mosquitoes smeared on the wall, the sheets were too... More

We have stayed many places on the island but for the past six years have chosen the Bellevue greatly due to the superb staff, great location, various options for accommodations/pricing and grounds. The staff always ensures we are set when arriving even offering an additional air mattress gratis if another friend was coming this year. The daily breakfast is bountiful with... More

Just returned from a three-night stay at the Windrose House, which is part of the Bellevue House properties. Lovely accommodations, very pretty property with nice and knowledgable staff. Close enough (1/4 mile) to walk to and from ferries/town and easy access to the south side of the island (SE Lighthouse, Payne's Steps to Mohegan Bluffs and beaches, dining at Spring... More

We stayed this past weekend 9/13 - 9/15/13 and had a wonderful stay! We went with another couple and both stayed in the Windrose House. It was clean and comfy . The beds were comfortable and we had a beautiful view ! Hanging out on the porch was delightful when we weren't walking to town which was a 5 minute... More

I really wanted to give this place a better review but just can't. As other reviewers have said, the location is good, especially if you don't have a car or need to walk to your lodging from the ferry. It is less than a 10 minute walk (but is uphill). On a positive note, the hydrangeas are truly breathtaking and... More

My Husband and I took a quick trip to the Bellevue house this past weekend and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the northeast room and it was perfect. The Sterling House is one of several houses on the Bellevue grounds. We stayed for two nights at the Beachwood Suite The good: Great location, close to town, and from our front door we could see the ocean, but only true from this particular Suite. Nice office to welcome you and don't miss the strawberry infused water. The bad: $350... More

Block Island Accommodations is a magnificent collection of Bed & Breakfast, rental homes, and apartments on Block Island, RI, offering beautiful hilltop lodging and accommodations. Located just up High St and off Center Rd, you will find gracious hospitality, superior service, and comfort in a meadow-like setting that recalls Block Island's farming tradition. Boating, fishing, and kayaking are all just a few minutes walk from our inns and homes. We are open May through October. The Ferry landings to the island are only a 2-hour drive from Boston and New York City and 45 minutes from Providence and Hartford. Our homes are all conveniently located via both car and foot from the ferry dock. Our grounds are one of the best places on the island to just relax. Sit back in our Adirondack chairs, grill up lunch, and enjoy looking over the ocean, watching planes take off from this island's only airport. Most of our accommodations are only a short walk to town where you will find the shops, restaurants, movie theatre, beach, as well as the best island nightlife. There is so much to do and see throughout the summer months, from shopping, hiking, sailing, boating, parasailing, lighthouse tours, cruises, and fishing charters, that our accommodations offer a great central location for couples and families alike. ... more   less
