Stayed for a family funeral which is never easy but the staff went out of their way to make everything easier for us. Great breakfast and special thanks to Quinn for all the detail shown. Room was very warm and lacking enough power sockets however a fantastic stay. Thank you
My husband and I wanted a free night of children so booked the Torrance Hotel for an afternoon of cocktails and a nice dinner then an overnight. I honestly can say it’s been an absolutely great time and lived up to everything we hoped it would be. Everything has been great although the over riding factor is the staff, so genuine, helpful and always going that extra mile. Stand out has been Quinn and Emily in the restaurant who were awesome. The only negative is that this a hotel focussed on weddings so it’s pot luck on when you stay as the night we stayed has been a bit busy (noisy) during the night, but given everything else still wouldn’t put us off
I was expecting great things from the Torrance Hotel but am sorry to say I was disappointed. The room was fine except for the fact that hotel information was only available by using a QR code. I would have appreciated being able to find out (for example) breakfast times from a booklet or similar in the room. Plus the toiletries were cheap, with no “extras” such as conditioner or cotton wool. Breakfasts were not up to standard. The full Scottish was ordinary (one sausage, one slice of bacon and three other unappetising-looking items all the same size and shape, like something from a school dinner, so on the second morning I asked for the avocado smash. Unfortunately this was so spicy that I left most of it. Additionally melon was the only fruit available on the first morning, and none at all on the second. Breakfast on the first day was served in a conservatory-type room, which was unpleasantly hot as there was no blind to keep it cool. The best asset this hotel has is the staff: they couldn’t do enough to be helpful, I must single out Quinn, who was brilliant but they were all great. It seems to me that the Torrance has been “chainified”: corners cut wherever possible, unimaginative food (clearly not local produce) and cost-cutting in many areas. This was not in inexpensive stay, but in my view did not offer value for money. If the Torrance intends to compete with other hotels in the same price range it needs to up its game considerably.…
My Mum & I had the most relaxing & welcoming overnight stay at the Torrance Hotel. The staff couldn't have been more friendly & accommodating - everyone we encountered done their uptmust to ensure we had the perfect stay. The room was immaculate & so stylish - jacuzzi bath of dreams & a large room. We had afternoon tea (we have sampled several of these over the years) & were both in agreement it was in our top 3! We had cocktails in the sun & an evening meal. The standard of food & drinks was top class. We also had the breakfast both chose avocado & poached eggs which rounded off our stay perfectly. The young male waiter & the lovely receptionist in particular were so friendly & fun! Overall a truly relaxing lovely experience.
We had my mum’s funeral purvey here. We catered for @80 and the staff were fabulous & attentive. The food was amazing & catered very well for a few different food allergies with no issues. We had the hot meal &everyone commented how nice it was.
My friends reviewed their vowels at the torrence Hotel where we stayed the night. The staff where lovely and so where the rooms. The dinner was absolutely gorgeous aswell as the breakfast. Would visit again for sure. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Attended a wedding here on Friday and the hotel and room were lovely. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very nice. My only complaint being that the room wasn’t checked very well before we checked in or the person cleaning it didn’t notice that their false nails were falling off as I found 4 of them on the floor.

We stayed in the stuart suite as part of our wedding on the 03/02/2022, as the room was being refurbished at the time of our wedding we had the use of it at the later date, the room was beautiful and the amenities were perfect. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was fantastic the meal was excellent the staff could not be any more helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was lovely and we did not have to wait long for it to be brought after we gave our order. The staff at the hotel could not have been any more helpful we would like to thank them all including all the back ground staff. We will definitely be back.
