I spent two nights here. it was comfortable with spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff, but what lets this hotel down is the crazy layout of the hotel. The reception, bar and restaurant are on the 12th floor, car park access is on the 2nd floor and pedestrian access from and to the mall is on the ground floor. It's a bit of a bind getting access to the hotel as you have to press an intercom every time you need to get into the building, sometimes having to wait a while for someone to answer.
We wanted to stay for a week in East Kilbride because I had a concert in Glasgow. Next to the mall and close to the trainstation. The building is not inviting to stay but the rooms are nice. Due to staff problems the cleaning isn't every day but when we asekd for clean towls or glasses we got it. Even the bed was changed during the week when I asked for it. It was a small bed for us but it was a nice bed.
Very poor customer relations. Booked this hotel as it was the closest one to the venue that my daughter and I were planning to attend. Unfortunately I was sent an e-mail on 10th April for the booking that had been made on the 29th March, stating that the hotel no longer had rooms available and they were cancelling our stay. Very unfair way to treat customers and no leaves me in a situation where I am struggling to find accommodation near the venue that isn't double the cost.
The hotel is located within the main indoor shopping centre in East Kilbride Town Centre and is well connected for restaurants, bar, a cinema and for shopping. The hotel occupies the top floors of a twelve-story building with the reception on the twelfth floor, the hotel is well signposted, and I found the hotel with ease (do not follow the route on google maps). The welcome was nice and professional; all in all, the service received during the stay was excellent. The room totally exceeded my expectations; the spacious room contained a wonderful king-sized bed topped with excellent duvet and pillows encased in crisp, clean white linen. Also in the room was two comfortable chairs, an excellent desk at which to work and use the powerful free Wi-Fi also you can watch the large flatscreen television. The roomy bathroom had an impressive powerful shower, fluffy towels completed the excellent experience. Highly recommended that you stay here.…
Our favourite hotel when visiting the Glasgow area. Convenient access from the M74 and only about 20 mins from Glasgow centre. The beds are excellent and worthy of mention. Staff all very pleasant and attentive.
First class hotel with excellent staff and rooms,I stay here every week while working up Scotland. The rooms are modern and spotless with everything you need. All of the staff who I have got to know over the last year are excellent at there jobs and can’t do enough for you.breakfast is very good with plenty of choices, evening meals are good also. I would definitely stop here with my family rather than just for work
The hotel was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the staff very efficient and friendly. All that was needed for one night stay. Would use again and would recommend.unfortunately it was only a short stay so we didn’t have the time to experience any other facilities or the immediate area. We were just visiting family and it’s location and price suited our needs perfectly.
Situated on top of the EK mall, this can't get much easier for a shopping trip. Rooms are located at the top of the Plaza Tower, so good views all around. Free parking on the top deck of the shopping centre car park, and is signed from the main roads. As it opened just before covid, rooms still very fresh and clean.
The hotel car park is not right next to the hotel. Look on Google Maps for Car Park 2. You keep going up and to the right to get to level 3. You are then right outside level 2 of the hotel and the lifts are through the door (Go to level 12 for reception). The staff are amazing and really friendly. The view outside of the window gives you a large look of the town. The place was really clean. A trip down the lift puts you in an amazing shopping centre, but after 6 PM everything is dead. You are literally then in the middle of several scary looking estates. You need a car to then get anywhere decent. Did I say, the staff are amazing and friendly.
Staying midweek for business and can’t fault the Ramada EK for comfort, service or location. Only disappointment is the quality of the food on offer so chose to eat elsewhere. Ideal location and convenient for shops too.
