I stayed here whilst on business in the area. The hotel had nice clean comfortable rooms and a good shower. Good service in the bar and restaurant. Excellent dinner and tasty full cooked breakfast with quality ingredients. Highly recommended.
Saturday was the start of Jump season at Ascot. As Ascot is quite a far drive from where I live and minibus returns were looking expensive we decided to all stay up for the night, so we could truly enjoy the races. We arrived well before check in - 10am to be precise, we were hoping we would of made it for breakfast but unfortunately for us breakfast finished at 9:30 that day - but the bar was open.
2/3 rooms were ready, which was super handy for us because we were able to drop our bags in the room. When checking in - don't forget to give the hotel your number plate.
As it was only me in the room it suited me to the ground. Not an overly big room, but enough space for a couple. Bath room was nice and stylish equipped with shower gel, hand wash & moisturiser (all very nice products, which you can also purchase at the hotel). The bed was comfy & it was toasty in the evening which was nice as it had been quite a chilly day at the races. My only mark down would be that I struggled with the pillow, I can't sleep with one - I've got so used to sleeping with two pillows that I found I had a bad neck in the morning.
Hotel staff were super helpful and very pleasant to speak to. We needed taxi's too and from the races and they helped organise everything.
We didn't get to eat at the races (or shall I say, didn't want to because we were too busy drinking) so when we got back we really needed dinner. They had a table and the menu had a wide variety. 3/4 of us went for the ribeye steak, cooked to utter perfection the knife just went through with no problems. Chips were nice as well. We enjoyed our dinner with a nice cold bottle of white wine. I would recommend anyone staying to try the restaurant dinner menu as it was super!
Breakfast we went for the continental (£8.50 per person) a selection of cereal, pastries, pancakes, meats, fruit, toast & tea. There was something for everyone. I was a little disappointed that the pancakes were in fact cold, they could do with being on a hot plate or something to keep them warm as they would of been much nicer.
Check out was swift and no issues.
This hotel is obviously very popular when it comes to Ascot racecourse as more than a few people staying were all visiting the races. I know for the next time we visit I will be booking a room here.
Good stay, we had 2 rooms with adjoining door which he hotel contacted us to offer for the same price as the family room we had booked. Very clean, we were in the main building but it was very quiet. Breakfast was brilliant value, kids loved it! Would def stay again if visiting the area. If it was warmer there is a large garden which would be good to let children run around in. 10 mins drive from Lego so easy to get there.
Stayed for one night on a business trip, based on location. The building and grounds are lovely. The bedroom was in the main building and was quite old fashioned, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately sleep wasn’t great due to noisy snoring from an adjacent room. Reasonable selection at breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs recommended. Reception staff friendly and efficient.
This place is great. I had a lovely room in the stable block, so it was quiet and reasonably sized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had modern decor, and the shower was great. I had dinner and breakfast in the restraunt which was warm and cosy. If i were in the area again, I would love another stay.
