Hotel typical premier Inn room ,functionality and cleanliness good standard ,no difficulty with check in and room comfortable. unfortunately adjoining brewers Fayre restaurant and meal deal not so good poor service several breakfast items had ran out and dinner items unavailable-previous night , long wait at bar to order food or drinks ,although hotel offered refund for food which was fair under circumstances. Location good on Edge of city with plenty parking ,close main A1 . Very good value for money overall shame about adjoining Brewers Fayre restaurant on this occasion

Stayed here on many occasions and always had a warm welcome . The rooms are very comfortable and clean and great value for money. A great pub attached where you can relax and dine . Fantastic varied menu of proper pub food as well as specialist nights ( fish shop) ect. Then an unlimited breakfast in the morning with enough food to please every palate. The manager who has been there forever always takes time to chat ,even when the place is mad busy. Great staff at reception and in the pub. Overall a 5 star service . Keep it up - knocks spots off Travelodge

We had a very pleasant stay whilst visiting Sunderland for the Tall ships race. I think the hotel could do with a bit of a revamp.. for example, the bathroom. Having said that , our room was spotless and the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Well done and thank you.

Disappointing compared to other premier inns I've stayed at recently. Needs a good clean and the rooms are in need of a makeover, bathroom very grubby with mould in corners and mould on ceiling. Cheap kettle that gives off a nasty smell when it boils, carpets grubby and the cleaners forgot to vacuum and dust the hidden bits! On the other hand the Liberty Brown bar and restaurant next door was great value and good quality food.
