Very comfortable stay, one day and night between the flights. The room was clean, spacious and quiet even though near the elevator. The breakfast 😋 again too many excellent, fresh choices, very happy with the service. The shuttle bus coming and going, perfect. Sauna was hot as it should and the pool refreshing. Will surely stay again.

More than 100 hotel nights a year are spent at work, so you have to try a few alternative hotels on your own time, and now it at least paid off. A nice renovated room, where there was no feeling of crampedness for three people. Familiar and safe breakfast and easy, relatively inexpensive parking - completely worth the price and in this respect even better compared to many other similar hotels.

In training and staying at the destination in October.
There is plenty of parking space in the hotel yard, both open and covered. There was friendly and fast service at the reception, where the hotel's services and other instructions were well explained.
The room was perfectly functional, clean and the bed is comfortable. The room also strangely heard sounds from outside, from the corridor or from the adjacent rooms.

The breakfast area was very comfortable, the dining area was easy to find. The setting was clear and the breakfast as a whole was tasty and versatile. The lunch offer on both days was good and tasty.

The training facilities where I was also at the destination were functional and their arrangements were smooth.

Overall, a functional and quite comfortable accommodation near the airport and good services.

We stayed in the best suite which is called Presidential Suite (#762). Now when the jacuzzi on the terrace is broken and unusable, the best name for this suite would be Sauna Suite as the sauna is the best part of this room.

Master Suite (#769) has also a balcony but no sauna. So I would call this suite a Balcony Suite because the balcony is the only thing that differentiates it from the other two suites that are called Superior Plus rooms (#718 and #719). The interior and the views are quite the same in all these three suites. Superior Plus is an understated name. The better one would be Junior Suite because they are suites.

For the pricing policy, 200 euros is quite suitable for these Superior Plus rooms but 300 and 400 euros are absolutely too much for the Master and Presidential Suites. I wouldn't pay 200 euros extra for a sauna and a terrace. The views from the Presidential Suite are not great.

We were lucky to still get our suite with the same amount of points as standard rooms. That's why I am giving four stars. For 400 euros, it would have been three stars. Without the outdoor jacuzzi, this suite has lost the only thing earning its name. Luckily, we were informed about that and we changed our two-night booking to one night.

The restaurant at this hotel is nice. We had a pleasant dinner with good service. The breakfast was also excellent. It was calm at 8:30 and the food selection was wide.

We used the complimentary bus transfer to the airport.

We could combine this hotel easily with Clarion Aviapolis where we stayed the previous night. One incentive to make the booking was that all room types could be booked with the same amount of points (25.000).

The Presidential Suite was already booked. So we made the booking for the next best Master Suite which has also a balcony but no jacuzzi or sauna.

The suite was quite spacious. The bathroom had a separate shower and a bathtub. The furniture was the same as in the Presidential Suite. The sofa is not the most comfortable.

Our visit was quite pleasant until the next morning when there was a complete electrical blackout in the whole hotel until 10:00. So there were no warm items at the breakfast. As compensation, the receptionist gave us breakfast vouchers which could be later used at any Scandic Hotel in Finland.

Luckily, it was no fire that caused the blackout. It was only the 3rd emergency stairs where I could find my way out to the reception. There were many locked doors and one door handle was left in my hand when I tried to open the 2nd-floor hallway door.

Hi Mikael, Thank you for taking some time and writing us a review. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us despite the unfortunate event of a blackout. This event has occurred due to an error in the fuse panel. The only one able to fix this issue has been the local electricity distributor. Therefore the blackout has been rather long, despite our own maintenance personnel working on the issue immediately. I do apologize for this incident and I perfectly understand, that it has affected your experience of our hotel. I'd like to thank you on the notes regarding the emergency stairs, this will be looked into. I sincerely hope we can have you visit us again in the future, to show our improvement and a fully lighted breakfast.

For me it is a wrong address. While check in the receptionist informed me that for all extra orders the hotel will charge and send a bill to the company who invited me to the meeting and made the hotel reservation. While check out another receptionist charged my business card saying that the first one gave me wrong information. My comment was simple - it's not my problem. If the hotel provides different information, it is a problem of the reception staff, not of the hotel guest. I asked a rhetorical question: is such service professional or unprofessional. The receptionist said she would talk to her friend and finally charged my card. And it's not about the amount of the bill - it was small, it's about the standard of service. Putting the responsibility on other employees and leaving the guest with the problem is something I didn't know, I know now and it was definitely my last stay at Scandic Helsinki. I won't mention other details about the hotel service, because it doesn't make sense

Despite flight delays causing an unavoidable change in my plans, this hotel reported me as a no-show for my non-refundable booking and kept my full payment. They showed no flexibility or understanding, even when I immediately informed them of my situation. I advise potential guests to beware of this inflexible policy—travel uncertainties aren't respected here

There was again a lucrative possibility to book every room category with the same amount of Scandic points as for a standard room (25 000 points). So we booked two nights for the Presidential Suite. The standard rate for this room would have been 430 euros per night.

We have stayed several times in the four suites at this hotel. Two suites are called Superior Plus rooms and the two others as Master and Presidential Suites which have a balcony.

Presidential Suite has a jacuzzi on the big terrace and a sauna in the spacious bathroom. The more appropriate name for this suite would be a Spa Suite because nothing presidential can be found from the suite interior.

Master Suite has no sauna, just a shower, and a separate bathtub as in the Superior Plus rooms. The furniture is quite the same in every suite. The interior is quite stylish but I hate the lumpy uncomfortable sofas.

The breakfast is well organized. The atmosphere was pleasantly calm as the hotel was quite empty.

The staff was friendly in the reception, bar, and restaurant.

While looking for ways to spend my partner's Scandic points, I found out that at this hotel you could book every room category for 20.000 points. I don't know if it was a campaign or a mistake. At the moment, you can book only a standard room with points.

First, we booked one night with points to the Presidential Suite and after two weeks another night to lengthen our stay to two nights. The normal price for this suite is around 360 euros per night. So our stay had excellent value for 40.000 points.

The hotel is located quite near the Jumbo Shopping Center and the Flamingo Entertainment Center. There is a complimentary shuttle bus from/to the airport. Check the timetable beforehand. From the Aviapolis railway station, you can walk in 15 minutes or take a bus to the hotel.

We have stayed once before in the same suite and knew what to expect. The absolute highlight is the big terrace with an outdoor jacuzzi. The water temperature was +38. So it was nice to spend longer times in the water, although the outside temperature was just over zero. Also, the suite has a sauna.

The breakfast was pleasantly calm. It starts already at 4:00. The food selection is wide. Most items can be found at every Scandic in Finland.

We booked a room for the new year with my dog. We noticed that some people got a treat package for their dog, but we didn't. We were confused, but we still got to choose the toy or treat that we wanted for our dog. Our room was right next to the elevators and my husband, being a sensitive sleeper, couldn't sleep because of it. In the past, the beds and pillows in Scandic have been really good, but now they were not the best possible. The fireworks were surprisingly well heard inside, luckily my dog was not sensitive.
The service was often very good. At the reception, the servant just spoke very quietly, so I didn't hear what he said. I often had to ask what he said.

There is bus stop near the hotel to which you can take a bus from to Tikkurila railway station, from there continue by local train to Helsinki centre. Or you can use the free shuttle bus, go to the airport and take a local train or aiport bus to the Helsinki centre from there. Takes about the same time, around an hour. I have used the shuttle bus + local train combination myself, and works well. The airport shuttle bus is a full bus. Breakfast starts at 6 am, but early breakfast you can get from 4 am at the next door hotel. A minutes walk away.

I agree with the previous two responses but I'd like to explain. My advice is to think whether you are planning to have it or not, and if you do, get the rate with breakfast included. It is plentiful so you won't be disappointed (I wasn't). You can buy it on site once you arrive but in that case it is significantly more expensive. Hope this helps.

Yes There is a business centre on the first floor, you can print there, if the printer is down, you can go to the conference centre, (within the hotel). If all else fails, walk over to cumulus hotel, there are 3 computers there with printers. Otherwise, go to the airport, there are self check-in counters, where you can get your boarding pass (hassle free). Usually i get my boarding pass at the airport.
