Okay, the usual story here. Looking for a cheap place to stay one night and need to park my vehicle while on vacation. I browse the internet and come across Best Western Airport Hotel Pilotti. Price seems quite affordable and parking is free. However, the pictures looks rather uninspiring. I think "Well, it's only one night - i take my chances".
Turns out the hotel is a disaster. I couldn't sleep because the beds are so worn out that it feels that you are sleeping in the bed rather on top of it. There's literally no air circulation in the rooms and there is definitely moldy smell in the smallest bathroom what i have seen for a while. This could be comforting for the homesick british clientele but probably everyone else would find it rather disgusting.
Best part is that given the nature of the hotel and everybody cramming their vehicles everywhere in the premises, my car had got hit and it battery died because the emergency lights. I made my way to the reception and asked for help. Lazy guy (receptionist) came from the backroom (he was eating a pizza and having a lunch break) in the adjacent room next to the reception. He offered a charger kit for the car battery but wasn't sure if it works or if it has power in it. Turned out (surprise) that it didn't work and we had to call for help. I tried to ask number for a towing company from the reception but the guy didn't know or didn't care so he was useless. Never again! Management wake up!

Vaatimaton lentokenttähotelli, jonka suurin ongelma oli todella pieni suihkutila ja wc. Huoneessa ei ole ilmastointia, joten huone oli todella kuuma vaikka ulkona oli alle 20 astetta päivälläkin. Ikkunan sai auki, mutta kadulta kuului paljon liikenteen melua. Hotellin yleisilme ikävä. Valitsimme hotellin sen perusteella, että auton saa hotellin parkkiin pidemmäksi aikaa. Kuitenkin auto oli vietävä 1km päähän, jonne tosin sai etukäteen tilatessa ilmaisen kuljetuksen. Hyvää oli ilmainen lentokenttäbussi. Aamupala oli kohtuullinen, mutta alle keskivertaisen suomalaisen hotelliaamiaisen. Henkilökunta hoiti tehtävänsä, mutta eivät olleet erityisen ystävällisiä. Yövyimme hotellissa mennessä ja palatessa yhden yön, mutta kummallakaan kerralla meiltä ei kysytty viihtymisestä tai toivotettu uudelleen tervetulleiksi. Samalla hinnalla ja samoilta seuduilta saa paremmankin hotellin.

Best Western Hotel is conveniently locate next to the airport and the shuttle service is good. You should stay in Vantaa only if you have an early flight. Otherwise there is really nothing to do there.

Bathroom is tiny.smell of drain block or poo. this drifted in to the room for my stay.near impossible to take a shower in this room as it is too small.airport shuttle NOT complimentary all of the time

The good --- people were nice. Good transport. A short and very pleasant walk to a shopping centre through a residential area of houses. However....the hotel is a bit run down. Tiny bathroom and very thon walls and with people arriving lateand leaving early you do hear alot of noise. Only one window opened...and it was 27C outside...inside it was much more as the sun was shining brightly so it wad a bit like a sauna all night. If you leave the only small window open be prepared to have sun shining in yr face at 4 am as the curtains can not be closed if the window is open. It is just ok for one night but there are other options nearby. I would avoid this hotel in warm weather. It is probably fine in winter although the walk to the shopping centre may not be all that pleasant ...about 10 min.

This was by far the worst western chain hotel I've stayed in. It was extremely dated, run down, and just plain bad. The beds were so poor I couldn't sleep at all, and the room was the smallest I've ever seen (it made my hotel room in Tokyo look like a mansion). The shower was laughably small- I'm an average size person and it didn't work at all.
I'm going to email Best Western and ask that they re-analyze sponsoring this hotel, as it does not fit any western hotel standards. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Dear "Tiina R", thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding your previous stay in our hotel. I wish to apologize on behalf of our hotel for not being able to entirely meet with your expectations. Your feedback is highly valuable for us as we are determined to constantly improve our service level to even higher standards. I'm delighted to inform you that we are continuing our renovation process in the hotel; during this year the guest rooms on the 2nd floor of the hotel will have a face lift, so far we've renovated our rooms on the 1st floor, meeting rooms, sauna department as well as our breakfast room. Renovation process requires a lot of time, but I'm most confident that at the time of renovation reaching completion the results will be great. Our 1-week-free parking service is highly popular among our guests; accordingly, every now and then it can be possible that the parking places directly outside of the hotel are booked out, this also characterizes the significant demand of this service. As we however want to provide this outstanding extra service for all of our guests, we have arranged also a secondary parking place for our guests who arrive with cars, within a short distance from our hotel. There's also a transportation organized back to the hotel from this additional parking area. Ideally located just a few miles from Airport with convenient (and free) shuttle service. Breakfast was excellent - a full buffet, and room was quite nice/. A perfect place for a brief stop-over. Highly recommended.

Indeed we are in a very close proximity to Helsinki Airport (4 kilometers/2,5 miles) and accordingly our hotel is very ideal also for guests in a need of accommodation between flights. Our complimentary shuttle service is also a vital part of our service and it's operating from the airport every day between 5 pm to 2 am (every 30 minutes) and to the airport between 4.15 am and 9.00 am more or less every 20 minutes. Останавливалась в этом отеле на одну ночь во время двухдневного визита в Хельсинки. Было отличное спецпредложение по цене.
Поселили в одноместный номер, но сломался дверной замок, и меня без вопросов переселили в двухкомнатный номер на 5 человек... Номер сам по себе очень маленький, но учитывая, что я там была одна - проблем не возникло.
Плюсы отеля - отличный ранний завтрак, большая бесплатная парковка (можно оставить а/машину на неделю абсолютно бесплатно!!!), Wi-Fi, сауна, близость к аэропорту и трансфер туда/обратно.
Минусы - крошечный санузел.

Lähiradan lähin juna-asema/pysäkki, johon hotellilta ilmainen bussikuljetus, on lentoasema. Hotellin verkkosivustolta löytyy bussin aikataulut ja kuljetuksen tilausohjeet.
