Small but comfortable room, good bed, big TV, many shelves. Great breakfast, nice terrace in the breakfast area, the lady who served breakfast was very kind and helpful. Very important to me - coffee, tea and water in the lobby 24/7. Airport shuttle service every half an hour. No air conditioning, but I didn't need it in the end of August. Only one thing I didn't like - the glass shower door covers just half the shower, so the bathroom floor gets wet easily.

The Pilotti has a really cool airport theme throughout the hotel. The rooms are fairly small but are surely comfortable enough for a short transit stay. The staff is great at super late check-ins and super early check-outs. The breakfast is excellent with sumptuous options. The hotel conveniently offers free shuttle to and from the airport every half an hour although the stop at the airport is a bit of a challenge to find but I guess this is more an airport rather than a hotel issue. Would happily return for another transit stay in Helsinki.

I stayed at the Airport Hotel Pilotti for 2 nights as the hotels in Helsinki city during my stay where ridiculous price (over £500 per night for the Radisson Blue, last time I was in Helsinki it was around £170 per night) The hotel is located in a leafy suburb and you wouldn't know you were so close to the airport. Although the hotel is close to the airport it is only good for staying the night before or after a flight. I don't recommend staying like I did for 2 nights and commuting into the city as the train never seemed to coincide with shuttle bus making it a long journey. The hotel is a short (15 min) walk to the Jumbo shopping centre where there is a mass of eateries but like most restaurants in Finland the majority shut at 9pm…… not great for a late flight. We stayed for one night before a flight. Great service, good breakfast (loved the bread!) a nice, quiet room and a relaxing sauna in the evening! The transportation to the airport in the morning was free and perfectly on time.

Looking at the building from the outside, it didn't look promising. However, the reception area is very comfortable and spacious with tea and coffee available as well as other goodies to purchase. The room was comfortable but somewhat small. The mattress was quite soft and the bottom sheet felt quick harsh on the skin (thanks to industrial washing). The room had a TV, few shelves, adequate lighting, phone, a fan (thank goodness bcoz the room was v. warm), 1 chair, and a bathroom. The fan was dusty and the floor didn't feel clean. The dinner restaurant was good with nice selection. The bartender/waiter Gorgi was lovely and hilarious. Breakfast was a disappointment. We arrived 30 minutes before the closing time. We arrived at the airport and called to ask about the hotel's shuttle. We walked to the pickup spot and waited there. Soon, the shuttle arrived, slowed down, and as we approached it, the driver pulled away and left. We called the hotel back to see if they could contact the driver and have him turn around, but the lady told us to take a cab instead and she would pay the fare when we arrived. So we did, and she paid the driver when we got to the hotel. What service! The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. The curtains are so long that they cover the heating/cooling unit, so guests must choose comfort or privacy. We had a delayed flight into Helsinki and missed our connection so had a scramble for a room for a family of 4 after midnight. Found this place on booking.com and truthfully it was about the only place available. With that said, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was quite good as well. The best thing was the front desk staff! Ok check in after a Long day, the attendant was very pleasant. There was a different woman on the desk the next morning who was equally friendly and helpful. We actually thought about staying again on our way back through but the rates frankly are not that competitive. We found many cheaper options for the way out.

I have used this hotel tens of times when travelling abroad. Free parkingplaces around the hotelbuilding plus free transportation along the day to and from the terminals of the airport makes you travelling easy and comfortable. Breakfast is available from very early morning and the sauna -compartment makes you feel happy and relaxed. before or after your travel.

Extremely rude front desk staff, that’s all I can say. There’s much better options near the airport and they really don’t care about customer service at all. Wish I had chosen another place because it is absurd to spend this kind of money for such a hole.

Although the rooms are quite small, but they are clean, neat and cozy. Close by is a big mall where one can stock up. Hotel restaurant offers good breakfast and dinner, but is closed for lunch time. This hotel has the fasted WiFi i have ever seen in public places with an average 60Mb/Sec up/download speed, amazing. The best of all was the bar keeper. A man who speaks 13 languages fluently, talks with all guest in their native words, is always friendly and has obvious a big heart for children. A big thanks to him.
