Due to flight cancellations I had to move the second of my 2 connecting flights to the next (very early) morning, which is why I chose a room in this hostel. I survived, but it wasn't very pleasant. No staff. The handles of the 3 windows had been removed, I managed to open one of the windows with the help of another guest. Cleanliness acceptable, toilet run down, the toilet paper box was broken. Otherwise ok, within walking distance from the terminals.
I booked this place as I wanted to take early morning flight The hotel is mostly self service like some other Forenom properties I stayed. The room was small and basic. The shared wash rooms were clean. Very basic will recommend it if you wanna catch a flight
Stayed 2 days at this hostel, i was not prepared for this, normally i book myself but this time it was different, but i really liked the idea with the kitchen. First night i went to the supermarket to buy bread and coffee and the room was very nice and clean ! only critic is the refrigerator in sounds like a Jumbojet landing on the ceiling, please fix this, and the keyless entry system, please there must be a better solution than the code punch in system.. Beside this i was very satisfied, cheap, easy and good..
There is a free bus going to the airport from here, if I remember well. It was the cheapest option within walking distance from the airport. Clean, quiet. Toilets and showers are not private. There are a coffee maker, a fringe and a microwave oven in every room.
It’s worth to wait at the airport rather than sleeping in this dirty place. I have nothing more to say. It’s a pity this place is in a nice country like Finland 😐😐😐 The photos were far more better than reality. I didn’t feel safe at all either. I couldn’t post this comment without rating a star so I was forced to rate one star.
Well, got caught on a last minute trip to HElsinki and ALL hotels, 30 miles around, were fully booked. That place was the only one left and I had no choice. Clearly not a match to my standards and not a place to go to for business or holidays; Though, it is clean, somehow quiet and well managed. But, not for me. I left as soon as I could find something else.
Clean, convenient and just 15 minutes to walk to the airport. In case if you don't like hiking there is a free shuttle bus. Showers and toilets are clean and in good condition. Combination of price and quality is excellent! Thank You!
I've been one night. It's true that you pay less than in all the other hotels close to the airport. The only thing is that it is really the worst place. My room wasn't so clean, there is nothing to eat close to the hostel and you can't get the room dark during the night
Forenom was the cheapest place that we could find closeby to Helsinki Airport. It's within an easy 15 minute walk to the terminal, where you can also find restaurants and groceries if you're looking at making your own meal whilst you're at forenom. The Beds were comfortable, and each room came equipped with a fridge, microwave and seating for 2. It got quite noisy at times, and it was difficult to control the temperature, but they were our only complaints. We didn't see any staff members whilst we were there, and rarely any other guests.
Not cheap - this is Finland - and definitely not value for the €50+ one has to fork out. I only needed a place near the airport as my flight arrived after midnight (and happened to be delayed 1 hr) and connecting train in the morning. It might be walkable - but not in the middle of the night and with heavy luggage. There is the airport parking lot (p4) bus - but requesting info to tell me that - over 24 hrs in advance via e-mail - yielded no answer. By the time I figured that out, there was no such bus and I ended up paying nearly €14 for the five minute cab ride over. And what did I get - well, a place in the nick: photos I've seen of prisoner's cells looked no different. Though they would not have to march down a long corridor in search for the two toilets or three showers (in a different corner of said long corridor). They would also get food - this place has a huge fridge and a microwave: though why one wants to use these when the place is meant for overnight travellers and with no shop nearby - ? Room was on third floor, and the water pressure already only minimal. The wifi was on-off-on. A prisoners would have found the bed familiar: narrow, with a rubbish foam mattress. Unlike in a prison though, the doors and walls are so thin, when an argument broke out at 7am (that was the end of my sleep) it sounded like it was in my 'cell'. Should be €25 tops but for this - only book it for the novelty experience. I shan't come back anytime soon.…
