I wanted a little extra for Corona-era life and a break from working and living at home. In May 2021, I booked two nights from Imatra Spa Resort for working away from home. The Spa Resort is big and located on the shores of Lake Saimaa - a great location. From the hotels / chalets front door you can already get to nature and nature trails. No parking fees. We stayed in Chalets Suite, which had two bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen and a private sauna and bathroom. Stunning views from the windows and the balcony to Lake Saimaa crowned the accommodation. The suite was also very clean and quiet. Wi-fi worked well. In the morning and evening it was wonderful to visit the spa which was large and there were so many different pools and hot tubs. Our Swiss friend liked the big screens in spa. In screens you can see Saimaa related videos. When you check in you will receive a wristband to access the spa whenever you want - and as often as you want. That is at least important to me. To be able to plan your own day the way you want. In spa it is not possible to wear swimming shorts so my husband rented speedos from reception when we checked in. The service was friendly at both the reception and the restaurant. A couple of our friends had a short vacation and they stayed with us at the same time and it was top when the waitress on the 2nd morning remembered our whole party and when we arrived for breakfast, the male waitress advised kindly where our friends were already. Breakfast was versatile and in May there was also the possibility of have a take-away breakfast. We ate at the restaurant as it is large and there was plenty of room for our own peace. My husband went to the gym, which he thought was very good and well equipped and is also included to room price. My friend had some spa treatments and she was very happy with them. I warmly recommend this spa resort for short and longer stays. For us, Chalets Suite was a good accommodation option. I think that those are very good options for families also since they are so spacious.

We had room near game area. Noise was awful. 50 desibel means that idea of relaxing holiday with daydreams were not possible. The area is beautiful and there are good exercise possibilites. Breakfast was food. We ate also dinner from bufee. It was ok.

Nice location and good amenities. Friendly staff. The spa was very good with lots of fun for kids. Well equipped playroom as well. Also lot to do outdoors nearby the hotel. The room was spacious and clean but worn out.

Wr stayed a Night in July, and the first thing we met Was a reception with long Line to check in. There Was no social distance, and it Was packed with people. It took close to 50 min to check in!! I Was looking forward to a swim in the waterpark, but there Was only acces in speedos for men, not shorts! I only use shorts, so no swim for me! The hallways reminded of a Eastblock hospital in 1960, Was warm down, dark and cleaningcards standing there all Night. Rooms were basic, and the windows could not open! The bathroom ventilator Was noisy and could not be turned of. We wanted to buy food in the restaurant, but the a la’ carte had 1,5 hours waitingtime. The buffet looked like hostel food, so we ended up going to town for dinner. When we came back people were standing on the parkinglot drinking beers and having parties. Not what you want to leave your car to. The breakfeast Was acceptable, but nothing special. The overall impression was that this hotel was outdated and targeting people going there to get wasted, while the kids play around in the waterpark. It was NOT worth the money in any way!!

Very cheap! Very good quality for the price! Chalet very spacious and fits easily 4-6 people ;). Amazing amenities. Simple modern design. One thing that I actually got me worried is slight smell of mold on the whole chalet. Nonetheless great for quick trip gateway to reset and get energy :). Pools and jacuzzis great! One more minus the reception staff on our arrival - not the most friendly nor chatty.
