My second time at this charming Bed and Breakfast and you feel as if you are staying with friends. The welcome is so warm and friendly, the rooms are spotless and decorated in a bright Moroccan style. It's so nice to have a swim in the pool in the morning and then eat a beautiful breakfast outside. The hosts go...

Had a lovely time at this B&B. Our hostesse Yvonne was very welcoming and gave us great tips for restaurants, sights to not miss, and advise on getting around the crazy narrow street of Bordeaux. Great value for the money. Would definitely recommend.

My friends and I had a terrific experience at La Ferrade. You couldn't ask for better hosts than Yolande and Benoit. They are helpful, warm, and they keep the B&B in the best state. La Ferrade is not in central Bordeaux, but it is very easy to get to all the sights whether by a healthy walk, a short bus...

Our room was beautiful and well-decorated, with a very Moroccan feel. The bathroom was modern and very nice. The pool and garden area was absolutely beautiful and the hosts were lovely. As soon as we arrived we were offered drinks (which was wonderful, as we were quite thirsty). Yolande went out of her way to recommend excellent attractions and restaurants...

We spent a couple of nights in bedroom Piment. "Une oasis de charme" is the perfect payoff of this place, where everything is special and breakfast is superb. Quiet, with a nice pool, bedroom is even better than in photos. Common spaces are A place we use to go to Arès Port Ostréïcole (per le ostriche) and to Cap Ferret...

We came to Bordeaux with two very young children and were keen to stay somewhere where the children would not be seen as a nuisance. La Ferrade did not disappoint. Yolande is an amazing host making us feel completely at home. The weather was fantastic, we played in the pool and the children had pretty much the run of the...

We pulled up to La Ferrade, and thought, "Uh oh..." But we were so wrong. The old fish factory workers houses in Begles, a mere 3-4 miles from Bordeaux, have been converted into showpiece houses on the interior, and La Ferrade is no exception. Yolande, Benoit, and Paul are delightful hosts, and they cannot do enough to make you feel...

La Ferrade provides superb accommodation near Bordeaux. We stayed for an enjoyable 2 nights in the upstairs rooms with our family of five (my husband and myself, and our three children ages 8, 7 and 5). The beds were the most comfortable we slept in throughout our entire trip! Yolande is the perfect hostess, she is warm and welcoming and...

Thank you Melanie for this very encouraging and nice recommendation to travelers and all Australian families! Your family was great guests, your children so sweet and we were delighted to guide you and help you discover our region. We stayed this July at La Ferrade for 4 days. It is well located near Bordeaux centre (with some effort you can walk down to the city centre, or the TGV train station), and has public transport around the corner. The rooms are ok in size and equipment, but they do lack airconditioning which meant that during the time we...

Thank you for your comments of which I take good notice. Your room can be kept reasonably cool upstairs (with an exceptional outside temperature of 34-36°C) if you keep the shaders and windows closed when the sun hits them. I probably will post an advice in the room now). The house is not AC, it is a choice of ours...
