This hotel is literally 2 minutes from the train station - we stayed in a twin room as there were no doubles available but it was acceptable. Cosy and clean the rooms had everything we needed. There was a fridge in the room, however ours wasn't working - we weren't too bothered by this as we only stayed one night and didn't need to chill anything. The staff were friendly and helpful even though not too many of them spoke much English. Some spoke German which was helpful. Breakfast was included and for a small hotel the spread was delicious! Croissants and Pannettone, various breads, cereal, fruit salad, yoghurt, meat, cheese, crackers, muesli and fruit! Coffee, tea and juice were also available. For an overnight stay this hotel ticks all the right boxes.

The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. They are not luxurious or spacious, but everything was functional except the wireless, which was frustrating (occasionally failed, generally weak signal, and sometimes slow). The staff were attentive and excellent. Nice but simple breakfast; great coffee. The restaurant and wood-fired pizza oven were charming and excellent

We had a very good dinner here twice already and maybe tonight we will make it three! The first night my wife and son had pizza while I had spaghetti with clams. The pasta is fresh and excellent. The clams were also fresh and savory. Last night I had pizza while they had risotto and veal. The brick oven puts a nice crispy char to the thin crust and the selection of toppings is extensive. The service is excellent with waiters who speak several languages including english. Albergo Svizzero is excellent. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is really good. Nice location, free parking right next to the hotel and very friendly staff (especially waiter Matteo). The hotel restaurant is excellent, you can find there very tasty pizza for reasonable prices. The only small "problem" is that there is no lift in the hotel and the air conditioning is quite weird. If we go to this area again, we will stay here.

Bed service and careless staff. We had to wait ages for the mains and when we had the food we had to send back a hamburger that was not eatable for way has been extensively cooked (we asked for rare). Hard as a rock! To have something else took again ages. The restauraunt is also overpriced and the quality of food and presentation scarse. I won't reccomand it.

These folks could not have been nicer. It's not luxurious, but has everything a simple traveler needs. Restaurant is fabulous! Location is great; steps to train station, 500 meters to Riva San Vitale, at the southern tip of Lake Lugano.
