I couldn’t be more overjoyed at having found this place. The owner Getsende was just so warm and friendly and welcomed us warmly despite our late arrival (and indeed late booking) and we were led to a pristine two roomed suite for our family of 3 young children and parents. It was simply presented but very tasteful and modern, extremely comfortable and warm, with nice fittings in the bathroom and furniture in the bedrooms. Stunningly pretty location with lovely views from the room overlooking vineyards. Breakfast was delicious and included (which was a nice surprise). It was very artisan and beautifully presented. We ended up staying 2 nights and I could have hugged our host when we left as she was so lovely and I was so pleased to have met her. The icing on the cake was when I discovered Gersende’s husband Nicolas, is the great nephew of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the author of Le Petit Prince, a favorite book from my childhood. So I spent the equivalent of another night’s stay on Le Petit Prince items for my children and several delicious wines made by Nicolas de Saint-Exupéry himself, along with some lovely lavender gifts made on site, for friends.
