Trotz später Ankunft sehr freundliche Aufnahme! Gern wieder, guter Service, freundlicher Service gerne wieder! Als Zwischenstop genutzt Leicht von der Strasse aus zu finden, für grössere Fahrzeuge etwas eng von Büschen/Bäumen
My husband and I did a months trip though Africa and came across this little gem, tucked away. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. The rondavels are clean and the bed was so comfortable. The ablutions were immaculate and we had a nice hot shower, which was welcoming after a long dusty trip. We were pressed for time and couldn't find a shop to get some meat for dinner(we had the basics) and thought we were going to have to be happy with 2 minute noodles. We mentioned this to the host and the next thing she arrived with 6 pork chops from her own freezer!! Blown away. We were truly grateful. We braaied our pork chops under the stars with a gin in hand. Perfect ending to a looong trip. We slept like babies. We would highly recommend this gem.
Truly an oasis! Very close to the Tanzanian border and in a woodland setting the rondavels are spacious and clean, there is no power but kerosene lamps are provided; a clean communal shower block with hot water (when the donkey is lit); no restaurant but a communal outdoor eating area with solar power so take your own food; wonderful, friendly staff. So peaceful, gives you strength to fight your way through the border crossings, or helps you relax after the hassles at the borders. We've stayed here a few times and love it. Well worth a visit.
the perfect stop over close to the Tanzanian Border. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home immediately. Lovely rooms and bathrooms with hot showers. There is no restaurant but the staff went out of their way to provide us with dinner. Accommodation is clean, neat and well maintained. No electricity exept for solar panels. The boys enjoyed a swim in the river close by and had the run around of the camping area. well situated and extremely friendly staff who will go out of their way to assist in all your needs. Dont miss this little gem!
A definite stop over, close to the border into Tanzania. One drives in wondering about it all, but are warmly greeted and welcomed, the donkey lit for a hot shower, ablutions are clean and every effort is made for your stay. Cabins have candles and good mosquito nets and are very reasonably priced. It was well worth pressing on a little further for and we won't hesitate to stay there again.
