Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really spartan solution, but that's what you expect when you stay in these places, so nothing to complain about. In fact picturesque little rooms in the fishing village. An excellent support to stay an hour's drive from North Cape.

The owners are moving their service to Sarnes, so the Repvåg property is left the way it was before. Some of the rooms were standing over rotten poles, so it is only a matter of time when they will collapse. In some rooms there were a terrible smell. We were told that the place is very popular among Russian people.
The restaurant was pretty good, though it was strange that only frozen fish was available. The breakfast was decent. The restaurant and cleaning staff was from Estonian. Good luck to them for coming so far.
If you are not very demanding about the accommodation and like sea fishing, this is a suitable place to go, or perhaps the place in Sarnes (though it may be fully booked). At least now when you don't have to pay for the Nordkapptunnel.

This Hotel is made up of a series of old fishermen's huts converted into hotel rooms, the front of which is on wooden posts out over the sea.
The rooms are fairly basic but clean with comfortable beds, clean white sheets & a shower room. Be careful of the hot water pipe in the shower it really is hot!
The word "Rorbusenter" basically translated means rooms or chalets with a kitchen & refers to the other rooms & apartment style accomadation. So I cannot comment on them.
We stayed in one of the Hotel rooms so I can only say that we were statisfied with our room & that we stayed for 2 nights.
The breakfast was good & plentiful. Typical Norwegian style with meats, cheese, fish & bread plus cereal, juice & coffee.
We had dinner there on our 2nd night...our Wedding Anniverary & we were surprised to see a candelarbra which was lit for us. A glass of wine with dinner was very expensive!
But remember this is a wild part of Northern Norway..off the beaten track so no evening entertainment nearby..only beautiful views & amazing sunsets.
If you like sea fishing then you will be pleased as there is boat hire & facilities to gut your catch etc. There were many Russians there doing just this.
This was good value for money as there is very little other hotel accomadation on this road until you arrive in Honningsvog.
Its the only road, but it is possible to go to North Cape & back from here in a day...the tunnel toll each way is about £25 for a car & 2 people & the entrance to North Cape itself £30 per person!

First of all don't expect hotel standards, this place is extremely basic and outdated, which is a pity as the location and setting, by the fjord, is beautiful.
We had a 2-storey apartment type accommodation. Living room/kitchenette on ground floor and steep ladders upstairs, where there was bedroom and toilet/shower.The ground floor was really ugly, the plastic floor was cold, so you need shoes or thick woollen socks There was very basic kitchenware, no fridge, though there was a freezer in the middle of the living room. The cutlery, pots and pans did not look very clean, so I washed them all before using. The kitchen cuoboards were dilapidated, There is linen in the bed, and soap and toilet paper in the toilet.
All the dirty water from the sink, when you wash dishes, as well as from shower, goes directly to the sea. This is quite disgusting as you would expect the Norwegians to be environmentally conscious (though we got the impression that the owners were Russian)
It is really a pity, that the whole setting is so dilapidated. It is in such a beautiful surrounding, so this could be made so much more cosier and environmentally friendly.
We paid 920 NOK per nite, which is far too much.

We have slept in the hotel one night on our way to Nordkapp from Ivalo. The hotel is as basic as it gets but very authentic. Rooms are warm and beds comfortable. Only problem is the noise early in the morning. We had an amazing codfish for dinner and breakfast was very good.
Strongly recommended if you are looking for authentic experiences.

The communication during the arrival was difficult and very basic. Also the rorbu are very traditional and Basic. We had a rorbu at the inside of the hotel so we did not had a nice view. We were at the beginning of the season so there wasn't that much movement in the hotel.

We booked this hotel to spend few days in Nordkapp area with my family. We were surprised that rooms looked completely different - horrible - compare what is presented on different web sites. Size of the room is just enough for double bed. Bathroom is crazy small and very bad equipped. Generally room is very obsolete, not renovated for last 20 years, smelly and not acceptable at all.
The absolutely worse experience is their restaurant. "Chef" loves oil so much that the fish and potatoes was swimming in the oil - disgusting. When I complained he was very arrogant and explaining that I don't understand how the dish should be prepared. When we saw their egg omelette for the breakfast again heavy oiled we decided to leave and sacrifice about 2000 NOK but avoid stomach problems.
It is important to know that the hotel is owned by Russians and all staff is Russian too. Don't expect anything Norwegian here.
You shall consider staying here just in emergency case when nothing else is available in the area of 400 km.

When we visited the hotel was under renovation and in June it was rather cold in the dining room but we had heating in our room. At that time it was rather muddy but OK because the "service person" was kind and helpful. Here we had the best fried cot during our visit to Norway.

We stayed here for one night on our way to North Cape, as this was the cheapest option in the North Cape region. As we came in late October, the reception/restaurant was closed for the winter season, so the owner emailed us his phone number and told us to call him upon our arrival. Our room was right beside the harbour and we were allowed to park our car right outside our room, but the path from the main road to our room was dark and muddy. Our room was small and basic, but was comfortable and clean enough. There is wifi but it is password-protected and we forgot to ask the owner. (The owners are Russian and they speak very basic English.) We were hoping to see the northern lights but we didn't see it because the whole village was illuminated with street lights and the sky was cloudy. The harbour is picturesque though.
