we spent two nights in a wonderful apartment, full of light and sea. russel was very helpful to us, giving useful advises to visit the beautiful places around. we cook in his kitchen and exchanging recipes was so pleasant! and, if you are not fancy to sleep, in the night you can listen to the sea watchins stars form you...

Despite the very exact directions Russell gave us, we had a couple of goes to find the entrance. A larger sign would be helpful. We stayed in the Snapper Bach, one back from the full view. Lovely idyllic spot, great hostess and host. Just so wanted to get my hands into the garden needed bit of a clean up. Stayed here for one night on our trip around the East Cape. I had searched the internet for somewhere in that rough area and Waikawa seemed to tick all the boxes.
