I arrived at 2.00am due to a car problem and had to wake everyone in the middle of the night. They were so understanding and accommodating towards me. Thank you for your welcome and patience. Nice clean rooms in an easy to find hotel in a really lovely town.
We were looking for a place to break the journey from the south o France back to Roscoff and we stumbled on this place - what a find ! The main reason is the restaurant which was absolutely fantastic (see separate review, but it is 5* level). For the hotel, amazing grounds, right next to a river, plenty of open spaces, an excellent outdoor pool with seating, not far from the bar! Good sized rooms on the ground floor opening onto the grounds, good shower and plenty of space. Breakfast was in a fully modernised and huge barn type structure. An excellent stopping off point and worth the 20 min drive off the motorway to find it as the restaurant is 5* quality and a real hidden gem! Well recommended.
The wine list was extensive. We chose from the 40 euro person menu a 5 course meal that was delicious and delightfully prepared. The staff was attentive and friendly. The helped us with our struggle with French with good humor. An excellent choice.
We chose this hotel restaurant on the off chance for lunch. It was excellent. The food was well cooked and presented with creativity and flair. It is clearly a family run hotel and has a very pleasant atmosphere to it. My wife and I both had the set menus and these were excellent. The menu enfant for our daughter started with what we anticipated to be a piece of pate and turned out to be a charcuterie board with hams and melon; almost a meal for her in itself. Thoroughly recommended.
We found this by chance as a friend attending the (brilliant) nearby sports centre at Temple-sur-Lot booked it and then decided to stay onsite. Wrong decision!! We took her booking. From the moment we arrived (a Sunday and a French national holiday with NOTHING open), the staff went out of their way to look after us. The room was spacious, airy and light and immaculately clean. There is a nice courtyard out the back where we lounged and had pre dinner drinks. We stayed for dinner and brought some friends over as well. The service was relaxed and perfect, the dinner was very tasty and beautifully presented. The wine reflected the excellence of the region! Altogether a very relaxing experience and highly recommended.
