We stayed here for two nights as we left Venice on our way to Slovenia. This was the perfect middle stop. It is beautiful, relaxing and almost surreal with the boats, cliffs and water. The staff right from the reception (Ramon, Alessio and another gentleman whose name I cannot remember) are extremely helpful. Ramon helped figure out where our driver was when he kept getting lost. There is extra attention here. The Slovenian lady who works at the restaurant (Debra?) also very kind. Bris Restaurant is also beautiful and service/food is on point. Max's restaurant is also worth a visit for the sunset. Fernando also helped us on our way to Trieste for an evening. We can't say enough. WORTH A STAY FOR A FEW DAYS!
The hotel is simply outstanding in every aspect. The location in the private bay with yacht club is sensational. Service from the welcome through the beach club and all restaurants is top notch. Most important, we had a perfect sleep as the beds - as always with Marriott - are the best in the industry. The rooms are so relaxing and the view (highly recommended to book a seaview room) is amazing. We already booked the next stay as a weekend feels like a week of vacation. Batteries recharged - thank you Falisia team!
The hotel is located in the small jewel Portopiccolo. It is a great location overlooking the marina and the sea. The hotel facilities are very nice, the beach club is amazing and breakfast is served in a charming terrace. The recpetion staff is extraordinary!
Premium hotel in a premium location. First thing - if you're driving to this resort, do not trust your GPS. It will direct you to the the wrong road which is gated and only for residents. The correct road is down Strada Provinciale 3 whose entrance is a couple of kilometers down the highway and is a twisty road down to the marina area. You'll need to drive past parking lots and businesses all the way to the end, where you'll still find a gate at a parking garage. However you'll see references to the resort and know you're in the right place. Given how the resort is built along a cliff, the parking garage is actually above the main reception area and you'll need to take an elevator down to check in. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful as you'd expect at a resort location like this. The room was clean and spacious with incredible views of the marina and sea. While I was only spending a night here I would have happily extended my stay to experience more of the area. They have an extensive spa that I would have loved to have taken advantage of. This is the kind of location that I like to use all those points from business travel and make it seem worthwhile. There are several restaurants and stores on the property and the nearby public beach has a number of small stands to pick up street food and snacks. Overall this was a great stay and highly recommend staying for a memorable visit.…
We stayed at the falisia 3 nights during the week. The rooms are perfect. We were Upgrades to a 2 bedroom suite. The breakfast is delicious. The beach club is a dream! The beach is stony but you will use the infinity pool anyways, since it’s colder. The people at the hotel and the beach club are great. There was only 1 thing, the staff was definitely “new” so a few weren’t fully trained. For example the concierge who showed us to our room got lost on the way, plus I am used that at least in case of a big suite I get a tour. It’s not the end of the world I now but I am used to it while staying at a luxury collection. Otherwise it’s a dream! It gets crowded during the weekends and apparently some “luxury” car tours use the spot as a stop over. They ruined a lot for us, but that’s not the fault of the hotel.…
I keep coming back to this hotel and this time with my family for a summer vacation. The standard and service is impeccable and it’s a beautiful resort. The room was spacious and had an amazing harbour view. The staff is always making me so welcome and feel at home especialle Piero, Alessio and Guilermo. I will be back soon again!
This property lives up to its reputation as a Luxury property in every way. From the amazing check-in and concierge service provided by Piero to the wonderful service at the Beach Club, we will absolutely return! Everything was easy to access and uncomplicated, so we were able to completely relax and enjoy ourselves here.
Just from the entrance to the garage do you know you’ve entered another level of luxury at the famed Falisia hotel. While no match to the charm of Cinque Terre, the Portopiccolo area is a great alterative for the savvy traveler. We got upgraded to the signature suite with two private gardens for our dog. The mattress was divine. So much closet space, great soft lighting throughout. The best part is the private beach and swimming area with private chef and decent drink menu. Falisia delivers on its promise of a luxury vacation, save the disastrous breakfast experience with delayed service and overwhelmed staff. But you know, who cares when you’re sipping a daiquiri in your cabana by the ocean. Also shoutout to the front desk - professional and courteous
Firstly I’d like to thank the staff at Falisia for working through the COVID-19 pandemic so people like me could have a holiday in 2020. The hotel is beautiful, incredibly well maintained with a really unique design. We stayed for a week at the end of July and the weather was fantastic 30c and sunny every day. The hotel is situated in a private development called Portopiccolo, you need to access it via the public beach route (not what google maps shows) once you work that out its quite easy to find. It’s about 1h 30m from Venice and 25min to Trieste. We also were able to visit Slovenia, Bled is about 2h away and worth the drive. Croatia is also less than 1h away. As I am Titanium for live with Bonvoy, we were lucky to be able to use pointsavers and suite night upgrades to get a 2 bedroom signature suite. The suite had a large balcony & garden area overlooking the harbour, there was also a back garden patio and grassy area. The rooms were of a good size and very nicely appointed. At the time we stayed the spa was closed so we missed this feature - it does look great from the hotels photographs. The beach club was open and very nice. Beds have thick mattresses and cabanas are available for no cost if you can get one. The menu at the beach club is a little limited and focused on seafood but food is good and service also very good. It is a 10 minute walk from the hotel or you can get the hotel to drive you in a golf cart. The Cliff Restaurant serves breakfast everyday. It’s a little bit different and I’m not sure if it was due to COVID-19 but food is served a la carte with no menu! You need to do the Q&A with the waiter to know what’s available to order. Also service is a little inconsistent, one day we got cheese & ham to the table, another just some cheese, another pastries, another just bread? The weirdest thing was on our 3rd day the waiter announced that poached eggs were extra but boiled, fried or scrambled were included?!! Apart from breakfast the only other issue we experienced was that our suite didn’t get serviced at all on one of the days. Overall any issues we had were small but not something I would expect at a 5* hotel operated under the Bonvoy/Starwood/Marriott banner, I do think COVID-19 has a part to play so our stay may not be representative. We ate dinner in Maxis Beach Club Restaurant on 2 nights & would recommend it for the sea views, excellent service and great food. Our 13 year only son even ate free there! There is a pizza Restaurant that was also good. Other than that the resort has a few shops but nothing much else and it’s pretty quiet even in high season. If you plan to do anything other than relax at the beach/pool/spa you will need a car. As I mentioned the location is great as it allows you to visit Croatia and Slovenia on day trips, also Venice and the northern wine region of Italy. All in all I’d highly recommend this hotel - it’s one of the best in the Bonvoy franchise. …
