My and my friend's holiday on 8 Dec. became a nightmare soon as we checked in here. We booked a Deluxe European Style but they gave us sth totally different. Staff were rude, especially the female manager. I called her twice, trying to tell her that it was not the room that we booked but she insisted that the prices were same for both room types. I tried to explain that the room we booked included hair dryer and coffee maker but the room given didn't. The room given was old, beds were as hard as rock, shampoo was put in water bottle (as shown in the picture). The manager just simply hanged up on me when I tried to contct and explain. I had to dial again just to hear the same accuse before being hanged up again. I spent another 20 min. to contact Agoda and cancelled the booking. Agoda staff was helpful but not enough. It's almost an hour before things were sorted out. At the end, we still really felt that it's unfair. This is because we had to find another place, paid 50% higher than usual price, and had to drive another 25 km further at 21.30 pm in the dark night. We were lucky that we could finally find a place to stay as almost all places were fully booked. When we were still finding a new place to stay, hotel staff came and urged us to leave immediately, saying new clients were coming! It was the experience we would not forget or forgive.…
Un peu vieillissant.mais toujours sympathique. Un personnel toujours aux petits soins. Petit déjeuner correct . Et un parc toujours aussi beau. Les jours de pluie !!! Attention les marches hyper glissantes devant les chambres ! Un endroit tranquille . Et les alentours vraiment à découvrir.
Beautiful, large grounds on the shore of the River Kwai. Spetaclar views of the mountains and the river from your room. You can view both the sunrise and sunset from the shore. Very close to Hellfire Pass and a small village.
This an odd place. It attracts mostly a Thai clientele - not a lot of English is spoken, and it's a couple of kms out of town. It is the creation of a former local police chief, who when it was built, was accused of encroaching on forest land. That seems to have blown over now, and regardless of the veracity of the allegations, the grounds include a long riverfront, are park-like and still immaculately maintained. Truly impressive. Unfortunately, the rooms are poorly designed and shoddily built, although quite spacious and not altogether uncomfortable. Overall, the price is reasonable and I'd stay again just to hang out in the garden.
