Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I'm not sure why you would go to the Grand Garden if you weren't traveling through on business. Bang Chan's not exactly a tourist destination. But if you need a fine hotel - this is it. Excellent clean rooms, friendly staff, good security. I had a super, albeit brief stay.

There's also one reason to stay above all other. The bath has a plug on a chain. There's no Heath-Robinson plunger, puller, twister, mechanism. You shove your rubber plug, that's on a chain, into the drain hole. And it stops the water flowing down the drain.

When you've finished your bath, get this, who'd of thought of it, you yank the plug out with the chain and the water runs down the drain hole. A brilliant modern touch on a problem that never existed. I'd stay again in Grand Garden just for this.

Seriously though, this is a good, value for money hotel.

With a plug on a chain. Treasure it.

Came to Grand Garden Hotel with my girlfriend without any expectations, but we where very surprised. This is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed it from the first minute and will definately recommend it to other people who are traveling in the area. This hotel is absolutely great wit affordable ratas with a very good standard. Ban Chang is a small city along the coast with a beautiful beach called Phala beach without the husleverantörer and bustle like in Pattaya. Wow!

Located around 10 minutes walk from the main street and shopping area. Very pleasant rooms which are suitable for extended stays. Nice swimming pool and gym. The staff are very courteous and always helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Given the location of Ban Chang we always wanted to try this property out so glad we did. Very spacious and very nice room. I would say this property is very unexpected. I would stay here any chance I could and will only recommend this place to my family and friends who come for visits. The restaurant on site is also excellent I will do separate review. The morning buffet which was included was also very sufficient.

I’m sure it was ok a few years ago but not it needs a lot of work. Overall dirty and worn out. The door to my room doesn’t shut by itself so you have to force it to close. The walls are paper thin so you can here every one walking and talking in the hallway. The bed rock hard and I like a firmer bed, but that is not it.

1st off, do not book via agoda / Trip Advisor ect. Even today when i checked the best offer, it is over $200 Australian. But if you walk in off the street it will cost you less than $100 for the same room. I have encountered this twice on this visit to Thailand.
Beware the Internet advertised price may not be the best price.

The rooms are very nice, good TV nice couch, small kitchen, beds not rock hard pillows soft, beautiful swimming pool, buffet breakfast. Staff are very helpful and respectful. Even the cleaning ladies will go out of there way to hold a door open for you.

I will return as long as i can pay 1800B per night and not the jacked up Internet price.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Restaurant in the hotel and in the surroundings. Hotel has a couple of different rooms. I like the ones with the sliding doors between living room and bedroom. Shower is not too handy for tall people.

Stayed here recently for one night on a business trip. Rooms are really big and nice. Staff are courteous, helped me with my luggage on the stairs, as they gave me a room on 3rd floor and there is no lift in the hotel. Outside the room, corridors and walls were being crawled by countless lizards and flies. There are not many eating options around if you decide to eat outside, and you can not walk in the locality without encountering numerous stray dogs. No halal food option was available inside the hotel.

I had a quick change of business plans which necessitated an overnight stay in Ban Chang. The Grand Garden had been recommended by an associate. It was well priced for such a late booking. The rooms are big, well appointed & clean. The hotel has a pool, but this is more for children than adults. The gem for me was the Japanese restaurant, good fresh food & great service. I would only give it 3-1/2 stars, but I would use it again.
