We come to the UK for our annual holidays to visit family and friends and we stopped here again for a local pub meal. Service is good and friendly and food burgers are nice and generous portions. The Blacksmith pie is also a great selection (huge portion). We like the hand cut chips that go with the chutney. Also a...

Just got home from a great dog walk and a wonderful lunch at the Blacksmiths Head; dressed crab to fine dining London standards, awesome Falafel burger between two Portobello mushrooms, apple crumble and custard, all 100% freshly homemade. Great banter with the bar staff and locals, first rate service,,,, In all honesty I wanted to keep this quiet so they...

Walked here from our campsite at Long Acres and were really pleased with what we found... A down to earth pub with great beer and good food. The staff were friendly and the service ok. The bar was full of revellers- well drunk when we arrived. But this didn't spoil our enjoyment as the food was super. Recommend!

Wow! My friend Liz, found this lovely cozy little pub so we could have some food en route to Eastbourne for the bank holiday weekend. As soon as we entered the pub we had the warmest welcome, drinks were lovely and the food was just exactly what we wanted. Wonderfully delicious food and probably one of the most fantastic customer...

Stopped by for a drink with some friends having not been to pub for many years. Small but well kept selection of ale plus usual lager range. Pub was busy with a mature friendly clientele, think juke box playing Led Zep not Milly Cyrus! I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend pub.

We stayed recently and had a nice night away. Great food in the evening - the baked camembert and huge burger were delicious and the prawn and crayfish salad was so fresh tasting - and the steak was perfectly cooked. The hand cut chips were also a real treat! The lovely and friendly staff made us feel right at home....
