Detailed Reviews
In my own opinion, it's more of a bed & breakfast than a hotel.
1) Simple room that is generally clean though the curtain can be thicker or have at least 1 more layer so as to shade off the daylight to have a better sleep at night (I was there recently and it's typically having daylight the whole day)
2) Nice & quiet surrounding with fresh air
3) Great dinner that I really enjoyed it! - I was served with salmon & cod fish soup ~thumbs up!~

Our stay in July 2016 was a desaster. But this time, September 2017 it was a surprising pleasant improvement. The rooms were renovated and clean. The receptionist was a young, very friendly guy. Breakfast was very good, and the ladies attending for breakfast very friendly and efficient. Rooms are still small. But for one overnight sleep, its quite pleasant, actualy the nearest hotel to the North Cap. (and one of the few still open in September)

It was okay for one night. The room was tidy and modestly decorated. Very small bathroom. Breakfast was scanty but well enough for the next meal. Staff was friendly. There was a path to Kirkeporten next to the hotel. It's a breathtaking place so don't miss it!

This touristhotel is situated in Skarsvaag, the very most nortern fishingvillage in the world, not far away from the Northcape. The scenery is just marvellous and you`ll meet reindeers outside the hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable both in the hotel and the motel. The owners and the staff are all very serviceminded and kind people. The food are excellent! (try homemade reindeerpot and craneberryjam!). We - parents, a daugther age 20 and a son age 12 - stayed at this hotel last summer and we revisited it this summer. It`s more cosy staying in Skarsvaag than e.g. at the Northcape or in Honningsvaag.

Very friendly staff, very cozy place after coming out of the cold. I arrived on motorcycle on a rainy cold day no problem. Safe parking right in front of the hotel. Lreat rooms, great restaurant with good local food.

The hotel looks nice and coshy from the outside. But thats it. The welcome was kind of rude. If ONE of you takes even a handbag into the restaurant, the whole group will be excluded from breakfast. HUUHH? And eat fast, we need the seats for other guests. HUUH? and on it went. WHAT? Your room is dirty? Your room at your home must be dirtier than that. Some rooms were not dirty, they were filthy, with green stuff, smelling rotten, growing on some walls. Mattresses seemed to be alive. There are no mosquitoes on North Cape? So it must have been something else biting. Breakfast? Only cold stuff, not even an egg. one kind of bread, and one kind of cheese, no butter, no salad, no fruits. Not enough tea for all. WHAT Tea? Never so many people want tea. Drink coffee. Some guests were at the brink of running amok, but happy to escape after one night

The room was clean and very spare, with no amenities in the bathroom, and small, scratchy towels. The black-out curtains didn't do much to keep out the midnight sun. The bread at breakfast was FANTASTIC, though, and the location, right on the edge of Nordkapp, and not far from the Knivskjellodden trailhead, made it worth the price for us.

You're paying just for the location. The hotel is situated just at 15km of the North Cape (that by the way is a turistic trap).
According to their facilities, it should be a 2* hotel, not even the level of a 3*.
Rooms are very simple: long and narrow, with a bed after the other, so they can economise space.
There's no TV on the rooms and the Wifi network is a joke: very weak signal and low speed.
I think I'm not coming back to North Cape, but if I do, Turisthotell would not be my choice: it's not worth 970NOK.

Buon giorno.
