Have eaten at Nirvana many times over the years. Sunday afternoon not the best time to go!! Busy, service and attention slower than usual. On the whole the food was, as usual, very good but the chicken was dry, needed more sauce, one persons baked potato was cold and a medium rare steak was more like well done, tasty though....

Nirvana bills itself as a specialized gourmet restaurant but it falls a bit short. On one visit I had Ostrich which was not entirely fresh and my wife and sister had a beet salad which had not been properly prepared. But on other visits we have had a wonderful meal. One person suggested that the service is OK and from...

It's a gourmet restaurant, the place is so nice, good music and ambient. The food is very good and tasty, the service is ok. The buildings all over the place are made of stone with vegetation and makes you feel good I definitely will return to this place

We had dinner at Nirvana a few nights ago; it was my husband's birthday. The gardens and hotel are meticulously cared for; beautiful landscaping, draped with lights at night. Very romantic. The restaurant has nice ambience as well; the food is ok; nothing great; but the big disappointment was the lack of welcome or hospitality. They took our order; brought...

This is a spectacular retreat that happens to have a most wonderful restaurant as part of if it. The food is delicious and the views, overlooking a canyon and mountains, are breathtaking. Wines are very well chosen and run from moderate to expensive. There is a choice for all.

When we hired a driver in San Miguel de Allende to take us to the Santuario de Atotonilco, we asked about a place for lunch near there before we toured the church. His recommendation, the Nirvana Spa, left us pleasantly surprised as the food was as delicious as the retreat is beautiful. We dined on the terrace and had the...

This is my secret escape in San Miguel. My fiance and I traveled here in January of this year, during my vacation to Queretaro, Mexico. I found this place on expedia and the reviews and photos won me over. We arrived and were welcome by the owner, who showed us to our room. The room was stunning, it was a...

Well it is hidden to say the least. If you did not know where it is...you are not going to find it. I had a local guy take me here and I was shocked. The food was excellent and the setting is amazing. Romantic peaceful and a place you want to bring that special someone. Even though I visited the...

A wonderfully tranquil spot in the country. The menu is extensive and the food good. Be sure to try the house made ice cream! Plan to spend a relaxing afternoon and sit outside if you can. On the weekends available tables outside are at a premium so reservations are advisable.
