Set in some nice gardens with a path that goes down to the River Greta and Derwentwater. Old exterior decor with a clean modern interior. Staff are friendly and efficient. We had the benefit of excellent weather. Bedroom was well equipped, bathroom clean and tidy. The meals we had were fine. Breakfast, one evening meal and Sunday lunch. Would stay...

I can highly recommend this venue for dog owners. The apartment we got was warm and comfortable and the hotel just across the road allows our canine friends in the bar and summer house area. Helpful and friendly staff and good solid food in the bar.

I have recently stayed at this hotel on a mid week four night stay with my husband, sister and amputee brother in law. The rooms were large, comfy, clean and warm. The food was very good and the staff were very helpful. All in all a most enjoyable break. Good value for money with the extra bonus of our in-house...

We have just returned home from spending 4 nights at the Derwentwater hotel. We have had a lovely break and looking forward to returning. Its situation close to lake lovely and manageable walk into Keswick. The staff all very helpful and the food just grand. Although don't pay extra for the steaks. Not worth £17. The rooms are ok and...

We chose this hotel as a retreat to get away from a recent bereavement and we couldn't have chosen better. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff very friendly and the food excellent. It's location was good for walking, driving and visiting the many local attractions. An excellent choice.

My wife & I stayed at the hotel for two nights between Christmas & New Year. When we checked in we were originally placed into room number 001 and this was the most disgusting room we had ever stepped foot into. Even walking along the corridor there was a bad, damp smell. Once into the room, we could see the...

Good Morning Charles S, Thank you for your time in reviewing our hotel. I feel your comments about your first allocated room unfair and inaccurate, as this does have the same décor as all of our standard rooms - and I feel that your statement that it was 'the most disgusting room we had ever stepped foot into' rather overemphasised....
