I was part of a large lunch party yesterday, and they coped very well - pleasant staff and super food and a good menu, although some of the items were a bit pricey for a country pub. I would like to go again with just a few friends to see if was any different.

We visited the Burlton on Saturday evening, for the first time, with friends. It's a pleasant little pub with a nice selection of Gins, for the Gin lovers. The food was superb! Hot, tasty and plentiful. My only criticism was the service was quite slow and the lighting above our table was pretty intense! It was like being under interrogation....

Saturday night at The Burlton Inn, what could be better? Lovely friendly atmosphere when entering and greetings from all the friendly staff. Food to die for served on hot plates, with a Specials Board which changes regularly.

Called here for Sunday lunch --our first visit for some years but will definitely be back soon. Well cooked, nicely presented, and reasonably priced Sunday roast (from a much wider menu available). Welcoming staff, good range of real ales, and attractive surroundings in which to enjoy your meal. What is there not to like. Well worth a visit.

We found this lovely little Inn a few years ago and stayed again last night. Its an ideal stopping point for us, just an hour and a half from the Wirral. We had a huge Sunday roast, for a very good price and an excellent night's sleep in the separate accommodation, followed by a good full English breakfast this morning....

Very attractive venue, nice pub nicely decorated ,the gents toilets an unlikely highlight .our table for eight was tucked away nicely in a corner but was a tiny bit cramped, would guess it normally seats six.the staff were all friendly, helpful and smart.the food was pretty good though the portions were a bit on the large size to my way of thinking and...

I did a B&B overnight stay at this Inn which was excellent value as it included good breakfast and was offering a discount. Helpful, friendly staff, spacious modern clean bedroom and large bathroom. The rooms are tucked away behind the Inn in a separate block, so there was no problem at all from traffic noise (not that this is a...

Table for 6 in (Mrs Pughs Room) a lovely quiet room just away from the bar room. Enjoyed the real ales, as did my friends, also the food, when it arrived! Must have hit the busy spot of the evening. A bit pricey, however it was a special occasion and will definitely go back, maybe try a lunch time visit....
