We stopped here for lunch after a family event. Interior is a delightful mix of traditional and modern. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Our meals were well presented, tasty and generous portions. The whole experience left us all promising to return very soon.

The pub has a very attractive seating area either side of an open fireplace with large leather armchairs. A pleasant place to sit and enjoy a drink and unwind. Large restaurant area with well spaced tables and good wide menu. Rooms comfortable but not luxurious. Just need to upgrade fixtures and fittings and fabrics to give a more luxurious feel....

I've stopped at the Dog House a few times whilst away on business and always found the pub/hotel to be of a high standard, with great food and friendly staff.... My only gripe would be that the rooms could do with a little spruce up but that being said they are clean and tidy.... Overall then a great little hotel...

Lovely staff, very attentive and friendly. Evening meal was great, no complaints at all. The breakfast however, was undercooked the first morning and served on a cold plate and overcooked the next morning and served on a red hot plate. Would happily stay again providing I stick to cereal. Our room was comfortable but stuck in the 80s. Decor could...

This is a great pub in a great location offering a full bar and restaurant. Good sized facility means one never feels cramped. Outdoor facilities are plentiful if not really useable in February! For all it's good points the Dog House is let down by its menu. Why? Well, it's not that it's bad it's just frustrating that the menu...

We stopped here for something to eat on our way home from a long trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the bar area was spacious and pleasant and they had a good choice of beers. The menu was interesting and good value, we had the wagyu burger and the salmon salad, both were delicious - recommended.

Everything at the Dog House is fine - we have stayed here many times over the years and the staff have always been friendly, the rooms comfortable and the food (although we usually only have breakfast) is fine.

This is our second visit to The Dog House, sadly both after funerals. However, the food for the funeral party was very good with plentiful tea & coffee. We stayed overnight as it was a long distance to travel back on the same day to Norfolk. The room was warm & very comfortable, the bed was the best I have...

Quaint place relaxing bar and real log fire. Food nothing special, not bad though, bit of 80's feel about the menu and some of the innovative stuff like trio of lamb just didn't work how I think they would have imagined.
