Our last stay on a roadtrip in Spain before departing from Madrid. The owner is very charming and helpful, but I can´t understand why this B&B is rated as good as it is. Upon arrival you get a complimentary (half) bottle of red wine and in the evening a free tour of the old cellar with wine tasting. Think some of the exceptional reviews are a bit biased by this... There´s a large garden attached, but it´s not very well kept. In the bathroom there´s a bath tub with a shower, but no curtain or glass. So after a quick shower, there´s water everywhere. Compared to the other places we visited, the restaurant was nothing special. OK food, but expensive. Would go somewhere else next time.
A wonderful find - warm and friendly hosts, terrific food served in the outdoor restaurant, comfortable bed, a real highlight of the trip. We highly recommend this place, especially if you are willing to try something a little different, out in the country, part of the Ribera del Duero wine region.. The place in located in a tiny town - in the countryside, perfect for a retreat of any kind.
Impressive rooms, great food run by a very friendly and helpful family. Enjoyed the peaceful and quiet village. Tasted wine in their wine cave and enjoyed a great meal under the stars. Also a great area for bicycling.
What an unexpected treat to be led down a candle lit stairway to a 100+ year old wine cellar. Then to taste the most beautiful and generous pours of local wine was extraordinary. This family friendly hotel/bed & breakfast is well worth the effort. We had one last night Madrid and this was a perfect end to our holiday only 90 min drive away. Late night followed by a late breakfast and a cruisy drive
We stayed here for one night during a road trip. The village is not in itself anything to write about, other than its beautifully remote location. We chose it as a good stopping point on the journey back to Santander. However, the hotel is a fabulously restored building with such thought and attention to everything. The hotel owners also run an outside bar and restaurant next door which the locals make good use of. We had a lovely evening there. The hotel owner also invited us down to the cellar where we sampled some of the region's wines. Breakfast was really good. Despite the fact that we were the only guests there we were still made to feel welcome and were fully catered for. Definitely worth a visit!
