I've stayed at The George several times over the past four years. I've always been in room 12 or room 13. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and pub and restaurant downstairs are very good. The staff are wonderful overall, and interesting people to get to know. The village residents frequent the pub and very social. The pub...

Stayed overnight after a trip at longleat zoo with my partner and another couple. Quick check in, where we were shown to our room. Room was clean and cosy and we had no complaints. Dinner was booked for 7:30pm and we were able to get in early. Good choices and large variety. Was hard for all of us to pick,...

Well well well ... it is one of the Hotels where they trying their best but ... I love old English houses with Character but this character is gone. A wild mix of LED -Lights all over the place and furniture village furniture. Please don't! I booked the hotel for our family so I was able to see 3 rooms....

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated that all of staff here did there best to ensure your stay was as it should be. The George at Nunney is a 17th century inn, and the rooms in the original building reflect that, solid wood four poster beds, dark oak furniture...

We booked the cottage accommodation having visited the Festival of Lights at Longleat. We were delighted with our quirky accommodation, a cute little cottage in a lovely little village. Spotlessly clean, plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. A thirty second walk down the road led to the Inn itself, with welcoming staff,...

Me and my partner needed a weekend get away, with a last minute planning we went for a safe choice as we had been to the George before. I like cosy country hotels but what I like most here is how it's been modernized. We still felt the Christmas magic in the historic building but also felt spoiled with the...

The George is an old building but has been modernised lovely, food and atmosphere was great and I would recommend to anyone visiting longleat. However we were a family with a toddler, we just had a double bed so my sleep wasn't great having to share with a very figgety two year old. Our room was small so wouldn't have...

Saturday dinner and overnight stay for a family 60th birthday celebration. Lovely pub with lots of character in this charming village. Very nice restaurant for dinner with good seating area for pre dinner drinks. Also outside seating. Our room was good. However, one of our party had room 7, which is best to avoid as above the kitchen and consequently...

Not sure what has happened to this once very good restaurant. No Specials or pizzas on menu meant the options were limited. Pie of day was a standard pukka pie type thing. Soft pastry, chewy meat. Mash was lumpy and dry. Told waitress and this was taken off the bill. It was that bad! Triple cooked chips were nothing of...

This quaint coaching inn has been made into a wonderful hotel and restaurant destination. The room was lovely, with a outstanding view of the old castle and church. The food was excellent, with friendly and warm service provided from arrival to check out. Would recommend to anyone.
