This hotel was booked on route from La Harve not knowing how far we were going to get. On arrival at 9pm after along and detoured journey we were greeted by a helpful gentleman in reception who promptly booked us in and directed us to the nearest restaurant so we could eat before it closed. The room was at the...

I was long-distance cycle touring alone, stayed in a (double) room here. Very clean and tidy, Enough room, Nice view, Excellent breakfast. Despite the fact that I was dripping wet and on a bike, the man at reception was really helpful. He went out of his way to secure my bike, get my stuff dry, and did all this in...

I didn’t expect much of this budget hotel from the pictures/reviews but I was looking for value and location. I really wanted to give this hotel a good rating because it’s location is superb: within 5 minute walk to gates of the historic center; lots of restaurants, bakery, wine shop nearby; easy access by car to nearby locations; convenient and...

This hotel is very basic however its clean and the staff are very friendly making you feel at home. My room was ensuite with a balcony, the bed wasn't the comfiest however after 8hours of skiing it was perfect, the television didn't have any English programmes but this wasn't a problem as they provide you with wifi. If you stay...

Let's put it this way... We slept in our clothes. The location was good. You can walk to the walled in village. The front desk manager was nice and friendly, but the place itself was nasty right down to the carpeting on the door and the smell of septic in the bathroom.

OK, so maybe a 2-star hotel like Le Cristol doesn't merit an excellent rating on Trip Advisor by definition, but I give it a five for different reasons than most. We had a long drive from Rome and arrived a bit before their 10pm deadline. The room we were given was a bit remote because we had our (well-behaved) Labrador...

Stayed one night as part of a touring holiday with a group of friends. Nice clean hotel. Nothing special but reliably good (we had stayed before) and the food is very good. The location is excellent for a walk into the fortified city

Stayed at the Hotel Cristol for short ski break with Friends. Hotel is situated on the main road out of Briancon towards the ski resort of Montgenevre which is only 15 mins drive, even though this is the main road out of town it never gets busy/noisey. The hotel is basic but very clean, parts are slightly dated and the...
