My friend and I stayed at this Premier Inn from 17th to 20th August in order to attend a show at the NEC. From checking in, to checking out we had the most fabulous few days and have to say how impressed we both were with this hotel. Our receptionist, Laura, was outstanding. Our room was far too hot even with a fan plugged in, so Laura found us another one we could borrow to help. It most certainly did. The room was clean and comfortable and good value in our opinion. Laura is a credit to the team at this Premier Inn and we will definitely book here again. Well done Laura. X
Granted they try to make it better, closed curtains and fans but very uncomfortable won’t come again in the summer. Otherwise clean, quiet, nice friendly staff. Food average not many healthy options available
A clean and affordable hotel that have friendly and accomodating staff that you can rely on like RAJ right at the front desk, just come and visit to this hotel. They have great friendly staffs and lovely and accesible rooms for disabled persons. And they have free car park and 24 hours free wifi.
The bath was full of hairs The window had been left open and there’s flys in the room. It’s made me not want to even get into the bath which is also the shower. The room just feels a bit unclean because of the bathroom. I also paid £3.99 for chips which were cold 👍🏻 Cherry on top
In all of the Premier Inns I have stayed at, the staff (actually the TEAM) at this one are without doubt the best. The interaction in the Beefeater (attached) between the team and customers is warming, the check in lady (I don’t know her name but I checked in early at 13:25 on Thursday 9th June 2022) was just so nice and helpful. The bar staff great and my waitress Becky and the Manageress Emma just superb. Thank you. You are all 5 star.
Spent a couple of nights in July, great location just off the M42 with easy access to central Birmingham & Cadburys World. You need a car. Check-in was quick and efficient, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean, it was a warm weekend and the reason we have not given 5 stars is that the property is older then the Premier Inn's we normally stay in with no air con. To be fair they had provided a fan, however it was still very warm even with the window open. Large free car park with plenty of space, despite a big pothole. We had breakfast at the Beefeater next door, which was great.
Bit of a dated hotel but inside it was clean, had everything we needed and the reception staff were really friendly. My husband even got a bottle of beer to say happy fathers day and the kids got some crayons and pictures to colour. The bed was very comfortable, the room wasn't to warm even though it doesn't have air conditioning and the shower was fairly decent. Also it was really dark when the lights went out and quiet. We ate tea at the beef eater which was really good and had breakfast the next morning which was ok but think we've had better from other places. The car park is full of large pot holes and it was chucking it down with rain when we arrived so the holes were full, until you go over them you don't realise how deep they are. Plenty of spaces though. We had breakfast quite late so didn't get back until about half 11 so we were finishing our packing when the house keeper knocked on the door at twenty to twelve wanting us out the room. This was a bit annoying because check out is at 12 and we were just about to leave. We would stay here again definitely.…
We originally came from this area and had come over for a family celebration of my husbands parents 80th birthdays. We stayed here as it was only down the road from their house. Stayed 2 nights. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, in fact I had the best nights sleep in months. All the staff were welcoming and friendly both reception and cleaners, nothing was too much trouble my husband and I had lovely late night chats with John on reception. Only one criticism, is the Beefeater attached to Premier, Remember this as The Plough Berni Inn. needs re vamping, and prices top end. Took advantage of voucher to include 2 courses with a drink plus breakfast which made it more reasonable.
Good stay clean room like new. I stayed here to go to Elvis show with Birmingham philamonic orchestra and guests. Even in heavy traffic took only 20 minutes. Didn’t buy breakfast as I only eat porridge and juice so £7.50 too much. Slept well great staff.
Although this Premier Inn is also tired and shabby, the one I want to review is further down the road. For some strange reason I can't find it on Trip Advisor. The post code is B90 4EP. This hotel has the potential of being a good place to stay. However, is has been neglected for some time now and it shows. The restaurant area is tired, shabby and grubby. It currently suffers from a staffing problem in the kitchen and the restaurant we waited 70 minutes for our evening meal on one occasion. When it eventually arrived, many items were missing and it didn't meet our expectations. Finally, we were placed on the ground floor which had a problem with the smell of damp throughout the room, which was not very pleasant.
