Words are inadequate to thank the staff for their thoughtfulness, caring and concern. My partner fell ill just as we arrived and was unable to take advantage of the amazing hikes. But Kenneth, the manager, and all of his staff showed the utmost concern, catering to our every need and recommending an excellent clinic where my partner got very prompt...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Talamanca reserve, and were greeted and always looked after by the wonderful manager, Kenneth and his staff. All who worked there were always warm and welcoming and delighted to share their fabulous place with visitors, who could quickly feel like friends. The natural aspects, whether plants, flowers, birds etc, were abundant, as you...

We stayed 3 nights in a cabin near the river, which has a nice setting and quieter than the cabins near the centre. Kenneth the manager was very helpful and friendly, supported by Jeffry a very good chef, which we didn't expect to find in so remote an area. The centre is quite unusual, but pleasant and welcoming, it has...

For hikers who want 4000 acres of gorgeous trails, a lovely bungalow (ask for the river ones) with a great bathroom, off near a thundering river. If you need a goal, there are 10 waterfalls to see, although half of those are for serious hikers unafraid of steep mountain paths. For the semi-serious, we are a reasonably fit couple in...

Yesterday our friends surprised us with a night in one of the cabins at Talamanca Reserve. We were super excited to spend the night in a cabin in the jungle! This is NOT a resort & doesn't claim to be-it is a 4,000 acre reserve that provides more beauty of nature than one can imagine! Once we unpacked our luggage...

We stayed four nights in February and had a fantastic time. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and Kenneth and all the staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The restaurant is first class. The reserve is set in stunning mountain scenery and lets you explore somewhere wild and spectacular without getting lost (a...

Comfortable beds, hot showers, lots of hiking trails within their preserve. Outstanding gourmet chef: would be worth visting the preserves hiking trails and having a meal. Requires having a sturdy car to get up the intermittently unpaved road with lots of rocks, but well worth the trip.

A beautiful setting in the Talamanca Mountain range. This is a calm and quiet setting, and we enjoyed bird-watching at the restaurant/lodge, but there are plenty of activities in the area as well. The views are spectacular. I liked this setting so much as one could choose vigorous hikes, or relax in the garden and watch the birds and look...

I loved staying here. The grounds were gorgeous and the setting quite beautiful. They had great food and accommodated my vegan diet better than any other place in Costa Rica. I loved seeing all the hummingbirds. Kenneth is the manager and he was very good to our whole group and saw to everything we needed. The cabins were very cute,...
