Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had booked room 14 because the friend with whom we were travelling had limited mobility and it was a semi-detached bungalow with reasonable accessibility. We arrived at 21:30. It was dirty and the kitchen area was very dirty with large cobwebs but it was too late to look for anywhere else and we had to stay. It was spacious with a large living room, three bedrooms and two shower-rooms with lots of beds. The location is delightful. Service was very friendly. Breakfast was good quality but with limited choice. The pub bar was fine but our friend thought that the bottle of red wine from which his glass had been poured had been open for days. He runs a hotel himself.

Thank you John and Norma for making us feel so welcome. My husband and I decided to stay at the Bulls Head for bed and breakfast on a Saturday night as the pub hosts live music in the bar every weekend. The Free Wheeling band were just brilliant. food , service, and the room was just the ticket...perfect. See you soon.

On arrival greeted with a smile at the bar. That's a good start. Handed a menu and away we went, we were spoilt for choice really. One meal of Lasagne, one of beer battered fish and chips and another of Guinness steak pie and chips . All served piping hot and fresh. Couldn't fault it Chef came out to see if all was well. There's confidence for you. Desserts if Sponge cake and custard for one and Honeycomb cheesecake for 2 . Delicious. It rounded off our meal a treat. Lovely atmosphere, Lovely food, Very pleasant staff. Who could want more?

Great country pub!! fresh, delicious food, very well priced. Super friendly staff (and locals!) We have eaten there a few times, Belly Pork, Mixed Grill, Salmon and Fish and Chips were all very nice. Dog friendly. Massive beer garden with ample parking. Has Robinson's Cider (my fave!), If you love cider and haven't tired this, then you must !! Great views of the countryside.

I I’ve been debating whether it be worth writing this review as after reading through previous comments I see a lot of similarities with my stay. But the response off the owners seem to always be the same to negative comments. Seems to always be the customer. We stayed here with family as we had a wedding not far away. Between us we had 4 rooms. For the price I expected alot more for my money, the room was out dated, my toilet leaked, fan caked in dirt and grime, dusty room in general, bed was ment to be a double but was tiny. My partner even slept on the floor the first night, pillows rock hard so didn’t sleep well in either night. We had just enough hot water for one of us to have a shower the morning of the wedding, and the other rooms had no hot water at all. My mother in law had to be taken to another room in the cottages I think just so she could have a warm shower. We had food the first night and although I didn’t mention anything (I don’t like confrontations) and my father in law paid for our entire meal I couldn’t eat mine at all. Staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely throughout and the chef even came to check. ( with everyone else enjoying their food I didn’t want to mention my issue) we went to the wedding on the Saturday and came back about 12.15 my partner and sister in law went to ask if the bar was still open so we could get a bottle of water each to take upstairs and owner refused as he cashed up already, that’s fair enough but when we left and my partner emailed them directly to mention our concerns on the room we received a message back basically calling us liars and saying we were being malicious and lying because we were refused service at the bar. This is not the case at all. I would definitely avoid staying here and would not recommend at all for the stay. No doubt I’ll be responded with a comment about something or other we ‘done’ but I think it’s crazy how so many people are being malicious with their negative comments but there’s so many similarities.

I thought long and hard about leaving this but feel I need to. We tried to stay but left after first night. Having paid for the lot. Yes - this was last minute and booked for three nights to visit family. Given the room above reception - the state of the reception office should have been a warning! The room was dirty . I had to clean the kitchen worktops and floor . Thick dust everywhere on skirting boards . My boyfriend slept in his clothes on a cheap thin mattress with awful bedding. The shower worked well but was thick with mould -something else I had to get a nail brush too. Thankfully the tv worked . Breakfast was good - staff in pub were great. Toilets in pub were disgusting . The mens toilets apparently had a soaking floor. This is a 'dedicated' locals pub. Drink but don't sleep!

Can't trace you on our system at all, no one cancelled or left after one night? Your comments about Reception are insulting as are those you have made about the room that you say you occupied which is extremely popular with wonderful twin aspect views over the Severn Valley. Really do not know what your motivation is for making these malicious comments>
