All 4 of the wigwams were booked out for a family 60th birthday weekend, and a very pleasant stay we had. The wigwams themselves were very cosy and warm, with a comfy bed, ensuite, dining table and chairs and a kitched and microwave with plently on crockery but no cooking pans. There is also a limited number of food items...

Would recommend this guest house to those starting/finishing the Hadrians Wall walk or just simply visiting the area. Really friendly, relaxed, and excellent facilities. Well located for food at the local pub. Very good breakfast in the morning.

I booked the Wigwam as a reward for successfully walking Hadrian's Wall on the 30th December 2016. You certainly cannot question the quality of the accommodation, its cleanliness and service. Lacks a certain character perhaps due to its over bearing commercial approach and curfew notices! Despite paying a premium, everything is an extra including bedding, towels etc.

Thank you for your review. We do our best to provide a flexible range of services to meet the needs of a very diverse guest group whilst at the same time maintain a peaceful and considerate environment for both our guests and neighbours. We're sorry if you found our management approach detracted from your Wigwam experience but are pleased that...

This was one of the best nights stay during our walk of Hadrians Wall. Fantastic great room with a welcome bath after 6 days walking. Very quiet location. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good with a great choice.

A close call (sorry, Willowford) but this just won a strong race in our opinion. Everything about the accommodation was very good indeed: we had TWO ranges of luxury bath goods, foot lotions etc. Good. extra large fluffy towels. The welcome tea and scones were delicious. The beds were huge and beautifully sheeted and pillowed. The breakfast: wow! The welcome...

Very friendly welcome at the end of a long walk with tea and cake provided. The room was lovely with views over the gardens behind the property. Helpful local advice was offered on local services for which we were very grateful. Breakfast had a good variety of food on offer but I can vouch for the excellent full English!

Stopped off for a bite after a lovely walk around Campfield Marsh. Despite being 3pm, the lunch platter "Hadrian's Wall Platter" was still available. It was imaginatively combined, beautifully served and spot on fresh. Tea ( both herbal and normal) served in in a china pot and china cups. Just had to succumb to one of the best carrot cakes...

Luxurious guest house with everything you need after cycling the Hadrians Wall Coast to Coast. Staff really friendly, room very comfortable and beautifully set up. This guest house is in a beautiful little village and quiet location. I woke to the September sun shining in the bedroom window.

We stayed here at the start of our Hadrians wall walk last week. Their friendly service started with information on how to get there from Carlisle using the local bus (including the time of the next bus), tea on arrival and a decent breakfast and packed lunch to send us well fuelled for the walk. Their menagerie of pets were...
