Just made my 3rd visit to The Green and it retained it's usual high standard. Very clean place, great cooked breakfast (with a welcome fruit salad as a starter), spacious room and helpful hosts who sorted out a booking for our evening meal on a busy Saturday night. Well placed, only 4 miles from Carlisle and near the motorway but...

Adorable place, warm welcome from Sandra and Jonnie and a fabulous cooked breakfast ! Great views of the fells, Tonight's EuroMillions jackpot is £53m*. Grab your ticket now!close enough to the motorway for convenience but far enough away that you can't hear anything but bird song in the morning. Really worth a visit !

We stopped off here travelling north, first night of our trip travelling with our 2 dogs. Johnny and Sandra could not have been more welcoming or attentive throughout our stay. Glass of wine and pint of beer on arrival a a great breakfast cooked to perfection. Its a handy location only 5-10 mins from the motorway junction and much quieter...

I have stayed here for several years running on my way to my annual trip to Scotland. What makes the Green B & B stand out for me is how spotlessly clean it is. Johnny and Sandra are perfect hosts in the old fashioned sense. A welcome glass of wine on arrival accompanied by some intelligent conversation made me feel...

I recently stayed at the Green for three nights on business. I visit Carlisle numerous times each year. This was the first time I stayed at the Green. Each time I visit the area in future I will always stay there. A lovely location and extremely friendly hosts. Very helpful. Highly recommended.

Couldn't of asked for more in a b&b the room was gorgeous and had everything you needed. Everywhere was spotless, and so well decorated,Please note after...

We had the pleasure of staying with Jonny & Sandra for 3 nights. Cannot fault anything with our stay from the quality of the room to the delicious breakfast we had each morning. They made us feel very welcome and it really was a home from home. Will definitely be going back again.

Our only regret about staying with the lovely Johnny and Sandra at The Green was that it was just for the one night as a stopover on the way to Scotland. They are the most kind and attentive hosts and we felt as though we had been staying with friends. In addition, the accommodation is absolutely gorgeous - stylish and...

We have had the most amazing stay at this little cracker. We are on our way to Stirling and thought it would be good to break up the journey. Who knew this little gem was so close to the M6 but in the middle of the countryside. We have been made very welcome by Sandra and Johnny. The room was...

Don't let the four dots mislead this review, I don't give 5's easily, and Greens is a great place to stay. Our family of four stayed here with John & Sandra and we enjoyed our time. Breakfast was huge and delicious for our two nights here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the home was a great place to...

Thank you very much for your kind comments and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay and it was a pleasure to meet your family However I must respond to the statement that The Green is the most expensive of the other B and B's that you stayed at. This is a misleading comparison and an unfair reflection on...
