We came to puerto cabezas by car from Masaya. Long drive.... as soon as we got the room we fell in love. It had AC, TV, and there was a restaurant beside us with great food. The beach was a bit of a walk but close enough to walk there. I would come back again if I had the chance.
Atm this town takes visa only, no MC. This hotel however took MC. Restaurant on grounds + great pizza and deserts On cliff, no actual beach access has nice Children's playground and ocean breezes Staff friendly and helpful. Beds were so so and shower curtain was filthy. Had tv, ac, and brought in refrigerator and fan at my request at no additional charge. Well worth the $15/night I paid for one person. Hammock on my semi-private porch
This is the best place to stay in Puerto Cabezas because it has nice, big rooms with nice beds and a great location which is close to downtown overlooking the beach. You can choose to have ac or a fan in any of their rooms. The staff are all very cool and operate to the normal laid back standard that is the norm in Caribbean Nicaragua. The pizza joint on the other side of a patio from the hotel has good pizza, calzones, wings. This is the mid priced hotel that I recommend to people visiting Puerto Cabezas.
We arrived in the morning and the guy working in the reception smelled of alcohol and didn't know anything. The room he showed us wasn't clean. The bed wasn't made and the bathroom was dirty. We decided to move to Judith kain instead since we didn't feel safe.
