My boyfriend and I stayed at this B&B for a weekend getaway, and I couldn't have been more happy with our stay! Chris and Phil were so friendly and accommodating, especially with our late check in, ideas for where to spend the afternoon, and even going out of their way to make reservations for us. The food was delicious, the...

My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding. Christine was an incredible host and the BnB surpassed our expectations. They were so accommodating and the service was top notch. The breakfasts were beyond gourmet! The morning of the wedding my bridesmaids and I enjoyed French toast with berry coulis and local bacon. The next morning, my husband...

My husband and I recently stayed at The House by the Side of the Road last weekend with five other couples (a mixture of friends and family). We planned to tour some wineries and enjoy a nice dinner together and wanted a "homier" experience than what a hotel can offer. Our hosts, Chris and Phil, were amazing and really went...

My wife and I had a wonderful time in the Vineyard Room. Accommodations are quite nice with a modern bathroom and lot of personal touches by Chris. She likes huge beds! Mayda makes a killer breakfast. We also enjoyed an evening chat with Chris and Philly on the back patio. The property is nestled in the Red Stone Vineyard, which...

We stayed 2 nights and were totally happy with our room, the food, the service, and the friendly staff at this B&B. I can say it truly exceeded our expectations even with their goods reviews. It is a "must stay" location in Ontario's wine country and is close to many good vineyards and wine tasting venues. You will not regret...

The hosts are warm, friendly, and helpful, the room was attractive, bright, and comfortable, while the breakfast was oustanding. We even liked their guests who, by the way, intend to come back, as do we. Highly recommended.

The house was immaculate and each room was flawless! The location was lovely, with a view of the neighbouring vineyard. A gourmet breakfast was prepared every morning and the hosts were wonderful people. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We stayed at the B&B this past weekend and loved it. We had stayed there before and liked it just as much - which is why we booked it again this year. Chris is very accommodating and helpful even with emails prior to the stay. We had a great time sitting in the backyard and enjoying some of the wine...

This B&B has lots of potential, but it needs lots of cleaning up It was a mess & disorganized pretty much through the house. There had been a water leak apparently earlier in the week., Our room was lovely & big huge king size bed very high we needed a stool to get into bed. Very comfortable. Nice washroom attached,...

The House by the Side of the Road is run by a truly lovely lady whose love of people is evident from how truly welcoming she is. The cast of characters that makes the House run is a bunch of her friends, and the whole experience of staying there was really like coming home to family. The room itself was...
