Me and my friend stayed here for a few days, and we enjoyed it. At first it was a little bit hard to find, but after asking a local we found it really fast! We rented a scooter at the home stay and the breakfast were tasty. Although we had a lovely stay, I would like to recommend you to make sure you have all your personal belongings with you before you leave. Because if you forget something, you’ll never get it back...! I forgot my ray bans, and I contacted the host and suggested I would pay for it if he could send them back to me, something he agreed to do, but all of a sudden he stopped replying to my texts. I realize now that I’ll never get them back, which is really sad because they meant a lot to me, as they were the last gift I got from my dad, which he knows... Should have seen that coming because he is a grumpy old man..

When we arrived in the evening, the huts looked nice at first and from the outside. The local wife of the English owner who runs the accommodation is very friendly. The room we were in was downright bad. Sockets were loose. Only a small stream of cold water came out of the shower. Sewer air came out of the bathroom and there were stains and holes in the comforter. This had been manageable for all of us for this price, but what we could not bear were the many cockroaches and other vermin in the room and in bed. Even a nest of baby roaches fell into our bed from the ceiling. No way we went to sleep here. Around 10 o'clock in the evening I went to the English owner with this story. An older man who smelled heavily of alcohol. Behind him stood the many Bintang beers he had already had this evening. There were quite a few. When I had explained it very politely (my girlfriend felt quite burdened to say something about it) he said that I should have stayed in Europe if I didn't want to see any vermin. When I said that we would rather go to another hotel, but that we would just pay for the room, he said fock off and some other abusive words that I should not use here. I also asked the owner to arrange a taxi to take us to another hotel and that I would just pay for it. He replied that there were no taxis and pis off so late in the evening. That is of course nonsense, because at that moment a taxi just arrived and dropped off 2 new tenants. We have taken this taxi from this hell. The owner is rude and treated his Indonesian wife like a slave. I totally do not understand why this accommodation gets so many good reviews. I understand that you cannot expect a 5 star hotel for this price, but you can expect that an owner can communicate normally with his customers. We also know from many previous trips through south-east Asia that there can be vermin, but this really went too far. For people who want to rent a room here in the future. Especially think of what can fall out of the ceiling.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and self contained. The grounds are also very clean and they have a beautiful garden which you can enjoy from the hammock on your balcony. The owners were very friendly and very helpful in recommending places to eat and also visit, he even let us use his 10% off card for 2 restaurants we ate at. The cleaners and workers were so friendly and smiley during the whole stay. Thank you for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Was in Kuta, Lombok already many times, staying several places. What I really appreciate on this one is the touch of nature that is around and friendliness of the owner and staff and close to centre, but also surf spots such a Are Gulling and Mawi. Excellent Breakfasts, reliable internet and mainly big grass area that literally send you to relax on. Bungalows are comfort, with daily cleaning service and the value? How come you can ask for more! Recommended 100%

Aira’s homestay exceeded our expectations. Room was a cosy little bungalow with veranda and attached bathroom - very clean and comfortable. Electrical points and lightings were strategically position for convenience and there’s a little cupboard in the room to lock your valuables. This homestay is just located about 100 meters off Jalan Mawun and set idyllically at fringe of the forest - fresh air and breezy. Breakfast was sumptuous and freshly prepared. The owners, Simon & Era, were very helpful and caring and arranged for reliable transportation at good prices. There’s currently 9 bungalows and were almost full during our two night stay. Our 8-year old was delighted to get to know theirs - both girls were inseparable for the entire 1.5 days! We would definitely stay at Aira’s when we visit Lombok again.

We‘ve been staying at Aira‘s Homestay for about one week and it was absolutely perfect! The price performance ratio is undoubtedly amazing, especially if you‘re travelling on low-budget. Room is being cleaned every day and breakfast, which is included too, is delicious ! It’s possible to have lunch/ dinner aswell, they offer very tasty Mie- and Nasi-Goreng. Also the Family is very welcoming and helpful. You can rent a Scooter for 50k per day. Surroundings are pretty quiet, which is nice too. All in all a great Homestay for your vacation in Kuta Lombok !

This home stay is great value for money - for those on a budget this is an awesome place. As with all budget home stays there is no air con but it is bearable with the fan. Bed was very comfy. The room was cleaned, complete with fresh towels, every day which is a great touch considering it’s a place generally where you tend to visit beaches and stay in the sun a lot. The grounds were very well kept. The breakfast was great - watermelon juice / really nice filtered coffee (tea also an option) / plate of fruit and then also choice of a main also. I tried both the banana pancake and the scrambled eggs whilst here and would recommend both. Location is 5 min drive away from the town, and I would guess about a 20-30 min walk. I would recommend hiring a scooter though to explore the area generally no matter where you stay in Kuta Lombok, but it is particularly handy if you stay here. You can hire a scooter from the owners for 50k IDR per day. The owners are very nice people who seemed to take pride in looking after their guests. The slight negatives were: - smell in the bathroom. Not unbearable but not pleasant either. In fairness this seems to be a problem in many places in SE Asia not just here. - Bugs. Probably the main negative (hardly the owners fault either!) but, as to be expected with rustic Home stay places in a place like Kuta Lombok, a few bugs are to be expected. Despite these slight negatives I would still recommend this place to anyone travelling on a budget. Fantastic value for money.

We wanted to stay in Aira's Homestay for a couple of days, but it was so good that we ended up staying 10. People is incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and nice (not luxurious but you have anything you need and everything is new and they take care of everything very much). Location is perfect. So quiet that sometimes you can even see the monkeys walking around in front of your room. Ah! and breakfast is amazing!!! Absolutely recommend this place! You will love it! :D

Lovely stay, friendly staff and for the price, this place is great value. The breakfast is nice with different options. Staff is accommodating and bungalows are basic but have everything you need. Simon, the owner can help you rent a bike as well. We ended up extending our stay for 3 additional nights! I’d highly recommend this place for your stay in Kuta.

They have a unique concept with Indonesia’s traditional building. Great locations. Near from Kuta Mandalika, Mawun Beach, Selong Belanak, Tanjung Aan, etc. The staff very humble and helpful. The room was clean. I’m very enjoying my 2 nights stay here. They served a delicious breakfast. Very recommended homestay when you visit Lombok!!
