Our three adult daughters joined us on an adventure vacation in Belize over Christmas week and we were very happy to have chosen to stay at Gumbo Limbo. While making the arrangements for our visit, Jenny informed us that nothing would be open in the area upon our arrival on Christmas Day so we were welcome to join them for... More

Gumbo Limbo is a perfect place to stay if you are thinking about exploring the mountain pine ridge area, and a few Maya sites and to stay in a relaxing and fantastic peaceful setting. Jenny, Mike and the girls are very welcoming and very good at helping you to organise trips, taxi, transfer while you are staying with them. The... More

We had the best stay at the Gumbo Limbo! We will be recommending them to everyone we know coming to Belize. Beautiful grounds and rooms, comfy beds, delicious light breakfast with amazing coffee and excellent hosts! Driving in would be a little tough without a 4wd dr in the rain but we had no problem. The pool is a nice... More

Beautiful place! Jenny & Mike are doing a great job on this spectacular place. Nice rooms, beautiful pool and very nice outdoor eating area/bar. Far off the beaten trail and get a real Belizian experience. Will definitely recommend folks to stay here from now on. We just stopped in (twice) to check it out and came back to have breakfast.... My sister, niece and I stayed 3 nights. The hosts Mike and Jenn along with the sweet girls helping in the kitchen are great at what they do. Continental breakfast is included and you pay $20US for dinner. Area is remote and not within walking distance of any restaurants, stores etc. Gumbolimbo arranged transportation from airport along with our ATM cave... More

Mike and Jenny have created a wonderful, relaxing jungle sanctuary experience for their guests. Before our three night stay was over, we felt like family. The rooms were exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. The water pressure is a little low, and the lights are a little dim. This is to be expected in this kind of remote location. Having wi... We stayed at this charming small resort over the Christmas holidays. The property is beautiful, the kids loved the pool and the little houses are roomy and comfortable. It was ideal for our family of 4. Our house had 2 double beds and a single bed. Mike and Jenny are so warm and friendly. They made us feel so welcome.... More

I have stayed with Mike and Gen twice before and am booking a third visit! Bottom line: very recommended. Beautiful small resort in the middle of the Belizean jungle. Perfect geographical place for travels to Tikal, variety of local Maya cities, and ATM. Self build and hosted by the owners, Jenn and Mike who are very friendly. You will get good value to your money, but ridiculously they charge you for the egg as an... More

“Only four cabanas to choose from....all were great. All quiet. One honeymoon suite, and the others had two queen beds and one single. Plenty of space in the cabanas for a family.”

“If you book with Expedia or any of those travel services, it's best to call the owners and let them know how many guests you're bringing with you. There are different bed arrangements for different kids of guests. I learned this in conversation with the owners & they can pretty much accommodate anyone. Great place for peace & quiet with a 10min drive to the cutest little town.”
