Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were planning on visiting the Cliffs of Mohr and arranged this nearby accommodation late. We found this B & B after traveling down a dirt road with our Waze app. Probably was a better way to get there! We were pleasantly surprised. The room was a double with a separate single. It was very clean and access to check in was seamless. The next morning there was a simple breakfast which was good in their eating area. (September, 2022)

Beyond impressed!!! This was by far the nicest B&B we stayed at in all of Ireland! Martin upgraded our rooms to the larger bedroom/studio detached apartment in the back of the house. Very accommodating! Breakfast cooked to order hot and delicious! About a close to the Ferry and Cliffs you can get! Cannot recommend enough!!!

Just outside town, we pulled in and met Martin on his way to his son’s football game. He showed us the room and it was huge. Giant bathroom, large comfortable bed, very airy and bright. Only four rooms here. Didn’t see the three upstairs. Our room has an extra bedroom and even a towel heater! Martin gave us tips on the area including Russell’s for dinner and it was excellent. This was exactly the kind of experience we were looking for staying in B&Bs. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the television had no signal. Other than that it was fantastic.

We generally stay in chain hotels, so booking lodging in Doolin was a bit out of my comfort zone since larger hotels just aren't a thing there. My limited prior experience with bed and breakfasts has been that they aren't family friendly, so I was pleased to find that Cahermaclanchy House had a larger space that accommodated our family of four. The setting is stunning -- the rural setting, farm animals not too far off, and distant views of the sea made this stay quite unique. Our small apartment was set up well and was extremely clean. It was a great jumping off point for seeing the Cliffs of Moher and doing dinner at McDermott's Pub. The breakfast the following morning was very pleasant. If we make it back to Doolin (and I hope we do, since we didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted to see) we would definitely return here.

Beautiful home. Martin was great. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was very nice. Bed was not comfortable. Location was beautiful. Walk to town is a little too far. I didn’t feel safe doing so since road is narrow and no shoulder. Overall I would stay here again.

We initially struggled to find a place with availability for Easter weekend and thought maybe we'd have to settle when we finally booked this one, but that wasn't the case. The place was great, from rooms and breakfast to location. It's just far enough out of town to feel more remote, yet still convenient. Plus, it's a straight drive out of town on one road so it's hard to get lost. Martin had great recommendations for dinner and pubs, too.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Cahermaclanchy House. The room had everything we needed and was quiet. Martin is an outstanding host. He is easy to get a hold of and cooks an Irish breakfast or pancakes for his guests. We had the pancakes both mornings and they were delicious! Cereals, nuts, fruit, toast, jams, juices and so on are also plentiful. The location was great as the Cliffs of Moher and a ferry to the Aran Islands is close by. Places to eat in Doolin are just a few minutes away by car. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Ireland. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay. Martin was a great host, excellent coms and very friendly and helpful. He even bought us a pint in the local pub when we bumped into him too. Lovely modern bnb surrounded by fields, views of the sea and not too far out of Doolin.

Loved everything about this place. Decor is lovely. Place was spotlessly clean. Everything was to a high standard. Nice little touches including tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was very fresh with loads of choice and unlimited cold and hot drinks. We will definitely return!
