Chris met us on arrival and we felt at home immediately. He was fantastic with giving us advice on places to see and things to do. The room was nice and clean and the location is great as it is within walking distance of the village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Room was clean, bed uncomfortable and no shampoo. It was unfortunate that the owner of the B and B decided at 11:30 pm to about midnight to stand in the hall where two guest rooms are located and talk to someone in a loud voice for 20 minutes even when asked to keep it down. There was no move to take it outside or go to her own quarters for this discussion if there was a problem. When a second request was made about midnight, more forcefully by a guest; she decided to bang on that guests door and shout even louder. She then proceeded to slam doors and I am sure woke everyone including us in a room down the hall. Unprofessional and unapologetic conduct for a proprietor. Wanted to leave but there was no other place to go. Make sure you stay at a reputable place.

Chris is a very friendly host, he helped us out with our trip to the cliffs and told us some nice do’s and don’t s as well as some recommendations on the local pubs and restaurants. All pubs ans restaurant are within walking distance (cliffs are too, but that takes a a little longer!) Rooms are clean, there’s wifi, large variety of breakfast options and an amazing dog!

We had a room with a choice of the proprietor’s tobacco smoke from inside the house or a neighbour’s fire smoke from outside. My eyes were smarting painfully. Details, like a bedside light for each bed or decent pressure in the shower, were lacking, but the proprietor was eager to please, and a mine of information.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights after spending five in Dublin, and were charmed upon first arriving. We walked into the small house and were greeted very warmly by Chris and Olive. We had a wonderful conversation about what brought us there and then got some tips for sights to see in the area. Every morning we had a lovely Irish breakfast, which we both found to be delicious, and the best by far on our trip so far. The dining area was cheery and felt like home. Very well decorated with lovely music playing, and an enchanting view of the ruins across the way. Every day Chris gave us helpful tips about how to accomplish our plans for the day, such as where to park, which roads to avoid, and the like. He greeted us with friendly conversation each time we came across his path, but left us to ourselves for the most part. The beds were not lavish, but were clean and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was well decorated and spotless. The toilet had some issues flushing if you tried flushing too soon after someone else had, but it was fine as long as you waited a couple of minutes. This place was incredibly relaxing, cozy and homelike, and everything we hoped for in a Bed and Breakfast. We will hopefully return, and are aiming for next year!

Doolin and Toomullin House were just what we expected when we planned our trip to Ireland. Chris was an excellent host from the beginning in taking our breakfast orders; "anything you want'" to the suggestions on where to spend the evening: "all the places offer something good" to the end with great suggestions: "you can go see the ruins of the 16th century ruins" and " must see the Poulnabrone Dolmen". There were two rooms on the first floor and two upstairs. The double beds were comfortable and the linens nice. Breakfast was a full Irish breakfast for some and porridge ( made from a family recipe) and fruit and yogurt. Juice, coffee, tea and water were available. The view of the ruins out the dining room window was intriguing. We ate dinner at Fitzpatrick's and enjoyed music at Gus's. This was a great place to stay and a great place to enjoy the Irish. Thanks Chris. And by the way, take the time to play with Mimi their wonderful labadoodle.

We had a great one night stay! We had to change our reservation to a night later due to weather issues, and Chris and Olive were more than kind about it. The house is only a 2-5 minute walk from all the main pubs (depending on the pub) and we got wonderful music the night we were there. Chris welcomed us with advice about what to do and where to eat. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but the room/bathroom was clean and tidy. We also had a huge traditional Irish breakfast in the morning that was wonderful! Chris sent us off with ideas and advice on what to do with our day. Lovely owners along with a lovely house.

Firstly Chris the owner was super friendly didn't meet Olive. Unfortunately our room smelt of cigarette smoke quite badly which I detest. The water pressure was terrible which I realise this can happen but we have stayed in alot of old B and B's and have never seen water pressure this bad. The shower was so small so if you are larger than you probably would not fit. The flush on the toilet was terrible and our friends toilet got blocked. The breakfast was really average for the price. Again Chris was great location good but I would not stay here again. The smell of smoke put me off straight away.

The room was clean, spacious, very comfortable and perfectly located, a short walk to McDermott's and McGann's pubs which is just what we wanted. Oh! And the breakfast was delicious, thank you Chris. If you're going to Doolin this is the place to stay.
