Stayed in the new 3 bedroom self catering apt at back of seascape b&b it is brand new fitted out to high standard in a great location only a 2 minute walk to the nearest bar/restaurant and a 15 minute walk into town great views of the cliffs from the apt everything you need for the perfect staycation we would highly recommend 5 Star all the way.
Quiet, clean. A bit Spartan but still quite comfortable. Very welcoming hostess who gave us useful information on the area. Nice that it was a 2-minute walk down the hill to a very accommodating pub. Good breakfast, large parking area outside. Note: good to have your own personal items, shampoo, washcloth, etc. as the bathroom is not a ‘luxury’ one. Note 2: as a courtesy, there are vests with illuminating stripes in the hall - these are for folks to use when they walk down and back to that pub: it can be quite dark and difficult for drivers to see you. That was a nice touch (even though I felt silly wearing the vest … it definitely made our walk safer!).
We absolutely loved staying at Seascape. Mary Jo was so welcoming and a wealth of information on the area and what to do. The location is ideal as it is a short walk into town (we walked everywhere) and a very short walk to McGann’s amazing pub, yet is nice and quiet and relaxing at the house. With a stunning view of the countryside, it was nice to come back in the afternoon and relax in the lounge with a glass of wine and plan our next days adventure. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and set us up for the day. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. Thank you Mary Jo for making our first time stay in Doolin such a memorable one. Hopefully we will be back in a few years time.
We stayed overnight at Seascape during our long drive from Dingle to Galway via the Cliffs of Moher. The B&B is a 10 min drive from the Cliffs, we arrived late, after 7 pm. Mary Jo suggested McGanns for dinner as having a better choice for vegetarians, a 5 min walk from the B&B. Our room was good and the breakfast terrific with lovely views of the country side. Mary Jo recommended that we take the coastal road to Galway via the Burren, an unforgettable experience. Seascape was a good relaxing stopover.
Mary Jo is a wonderful host. She graciously let us check in earlier than planned so we could rest off our jet lag. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had our first Irish breakfast here and it was great -- lots of choices and so pleasantly served by Eileen! We selected this B&B so that we could walk to a restaurant and to listen to music at night, and it was perfect for that -- just a 5 minute walk. Mary Jo was also so obliging and helpful with touring suggestions both in emails and in person. Very happy that we chose this for our first night in Ireland!
