The location of Doonagore Farmhouse was perfectly situated between the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin. Our room was incredibly spacious and nicely updated. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was the best that we had in Ireland. Mary's breakfast was delicious! We didn't get a chance to do the cliff walk with Pat because of the trail conditions, but we were so grateful for his knowledge and for keeping his guests safe! Pat and Mary's knowledge about the Visitor's Center at the Cliffs proved invaluable as we knew to ask for the "Lifts of Moher" for my mother who can't walk long distances. My only comment would be that I was not informed that payment had to be made in cash only and that credit cards were not accepted. Thankfully we did have enough euros left to pay, but I wish that this information was on the website so that I could have come better prepared with more cash on hand. Thanks for the great stay Mary and Pat!

This B&B is very comfortable, and the hosts Mary and Patrick are so helpful and very friendly. The view from the farm house is amazing! Breakfasts were cooked to order and very delicious! Mary referred us into Doolin which is very close by, and we were able to enjoy 3 of the 4 pubs. We have stayed here 2 times already and will be certainly booking it again if we are in the area. Highly recommend

Was a little concerned after reading the previous review. However, we enjoyed our stay here. We found it clean and roomy and did not encounter any odors at all. The beds were comfortable and the location was peaceful. The bathroom was a little cramped but it was not a problem. We were offered a full Irish breakfast as well as other options, including water. I could not get enough of the yogurt she provided—wish we had that type in the US! Rocky was friendly and we enjoyed playing with him. The day after our stay, I realized I accidentally left my tumbler and Mary was kind enough to mail it to me, at her cost, despite my protests. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I chose this B&B based partly on other (good) reviews, and I am utterly puzzled about them now after staying here. The best advice I can give is to AVOID Doonagore Farmhouse at all costs. Although the dog greeting us out front was cute (but what else does he have to do? I think he is not allowed inside as he was shivering on the stoop the next morning), that was the extent of a similar experience to the other reviewers. From the inhospitable entryway we were greeted with the pervasive and overwhelming odor of musty old furniture and lingering cooked food smells (bad), and that was the only thing we were welcomed with as the host took quite a time to acknowledge our arrival and then shut themselves (we never met the husband) away in other rooms, leaving us with no way to seek them out to inquire about anything. The rooms are of adequate size but the amenities are nil or none (there is no soap provided in the showers, for example). The beds are wildly uncomfortable, the showers unbearably tiny and awkward with no niche or shelf so your shampoo goes on the floor of the shower but the shower is too small to bend down in, there is black mold at the top of the shower stall, the bedding and towels are threadbare, and again, the house stench is overpowering. The breakfast is bare bones (not even water is available) and low quality. The host controls the heat (or lack thereof) in the rooms, so you are at the mercy of whatever they want the temperature to be. We stayed in many B&B’s and hotels this trip to Ireland and this place was one we would never re-visit. And amazingly it was the most expensive; I don’t know how the host can justify what she charges (cash only).

Pat and Mary are lovely hosts! Doonagore Farmhouse is in a great location, close to the village of Doolin and. The Cliffs of Moher. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Mary is quite personable and was available if we needed anything. After checking out, we did the cliff walk with Pat. This was absolutely our favorite part of the entire trip to Ireland! Having a local farmer walk you through his land, pointing out the beauty of Ireland’s West Coast, beats dealing with the thousands of tourists at the visitor center. I would absolutely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our two night stay with Pat and Mary. Their home was warm and welcoming. Mary cooked a delicious made to order breakfast. Pat was a wonderful tour guide and walk leader on the Cliffs of Moher walk. Because of the weather, we were not able to do the Cliff walk on the first morning so Pat provided a map and brochures of things that we could do locally. We highly recommend both their farmhouse and walk.

Had a good 2 night stay, very convenient to the Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren. Room had a view of the ocean, and one morning we had a great view of a rainbow...awesome! Breakfast was good, hosts were friendly. Highly recommend the Atlantic Chowder at the Ivy Cottage Restaurant, it was so good!

Upon entering immediately an unpleasant smell. The rooms are poorly maintained, tiles in the bathroom are loose. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Very small shower. Breakfast was also disappointing. The view from the room was beautiful.

The ultimate farmhouse stay and Cliffs of Moher experience in Doolin. Pat and Mary made us feel extremely comfortable during our stay. This included great amenities and a delicious cooked breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone looking to really experience all that Doolin has to offer. Thanks again!

We only stayed 1 night. It was a midway stop for us. Farmhouse accommodations for sure! We had a room that was considered a family room, 1 double bed & 1 twin. Small TV on wall,no channels really, but could have been because of storm we had. Bathroom small, but it was good for how long we were there for. breakfast very good! Sat with 4 other couples. Relaxing stay. Close to aran Island ferry, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Castle. Family very nice!
