Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location of Doonagore Farmhouse was perfectly situated between the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin. Our room was incredibly spacious and nicely updated. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was the best that we had in Ireland. Mary's breakfast was delicious! We didn't get a chance to do the cliff walk with Pat because of the trail conditions, but we were so grateful for his knowledge and for keeping his guests safe! Pat and Mary's knowledge about the Visitor's Center at the Cliffs proved invaluable as we knew to ask for the "Lifts of Moher" for my mother who can't walk long distances. My only comment would be that I was not informed that payment had to be made in cash only and that credit cards were not accepted. Thankfully we did have enough euros left to pay, but I wish that this information was on the website so that I could have come better prepared with more cash on hand. Thanks for the great stay Mary and Pat!

Had a good 2 night stay, very convenient to the Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren. Room had a view of the ocean, and one morning we had a great view of a rainbow...awesome! Breakfast was good, hosts were friendly. Highly recommend the Atlantic Chowder at the Ivy Cottage Restaurant, it was so good!

We very much enjoyed our two night stay with Pat and Mary. Their home was warm and welcoming. Mary cooked a delicious made to order breakfast. Pat was a wonderful tour guide and walk leader on the Cliffs of Moher walk.
Because of the weather, we were not able to do the Cliff walk on the first morning so Pat provided a map and brochures of things that we could do locally.
We highly recommend both their farmhouse and walk.

The ultimate farmhouse stay and Cliffs of Moher experience in Doolin. Pat and Mary made us feel extremely comfortable during our stay. This included great amenities and a delicious cooked breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone looking to really experience all that Doolin has to offer. Thanks again!

We were greeted by Rocky (the dog-loved it) as we pulled up. Staff was very polite. Plenty of rooms.
If you stay here it includes the Cliffs of Moher walking tour. TAKE advantage of this. Pat is a great guide but be ready. This was his childhood playground. He has a quick pace but it’s well worth it.
We went to the local pub for dinner and Irish music. The staff offered to drop us off and pick us up. Great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay and throughly enjoyed Mary and Pat! The rooms were cozy and felt like home. The views are breathtaking! Mary was very hospitable and cooked an amazing Irish breakfast. We stayed two nights and will definitely stay again the next time we visit Ireland.

We only stayed 1 night. It was a midway stop for us. Farmhouse accommodations for sure! We had a room that was considered a family room, 1 double bed & 1 twin. Small TV on wall,no channels really, but could have been because of storm we had. Bathroom small, but it was good for how long we were there for. breakfast very good! Sat with 4 other couples. Relaxing stay. Close to aran Island ferry, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Castle. Family very nice!

I was very excited to stay here from the great reviews I had read. When we arrived, we were given little information--even had to ask what time breakfast was, etc, and felt as though we were in the way, and no tea/coffee were offered as per the advert. The location is wonderful as is the lovely little farm. The rooms were clean. Someone was weedwacking/strimming until after 11pm and the walls transmitted sound rather well-- another guest at the end of the hallway had a baby that was up crying all night and it was as if it was in our rooms. The following morning, one of our rooms had no hot water for showers and the proprietress replied--Well a lot of people took showers last night, nothing I can do about that. Although adequate, we were glad we only stayed one night, and were disappointed.

We stayed with Mary and Pat during the first week of August. We had a room and our teenage boys had another down the hall. They are gracious hosts and you have the best views of the ocean from their house! Bedrooms are large, clean, and homey, and Mary's breakfast is wonderful (and huge)! You can't beat this for location or homey feel if you are looking for a bed and breakfast near the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, or the Burren.

We did not have time to do Pat's cliff walk but everyone loves it and if you are an adventurous hiker, it sounds like this could be the hike of your life! Mary did talk us through a great loop in the Burren so we spent our time doing that and did the Cliffs on a warm evening when the light was perfect!

Doonagore Farmhouse is right on the coast with fantastic views of the Atlantic, Doolin and great Ireland scenery. Mary and her family are very welcoming and make you feel at home right away. She is also very knowledgeable about local tours and times. Breakfast was excellent, the room was a fair size, modern, colorful and charming. And the Cliffs of Moher were literally just minutes down the road. Great location, great place, can't go wrong here!
