We were greeted by Rocky (the dog-loved it) as we pulled up. Staff was very polite. Plenty of rooms. If you stay here it includes the Cliffs of Moher walking tour. TAKE advantage of this. Pat is a great guide but be ready. This was his childhood playground. He has a quick pace but it’s well worth it. We went to the local pub for dinner and Irish music. The staff offered to drop us off and pick us up. Great place to stay.
This is a charming, home from home B&B in a fantastic location close to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher! Mary and Pat were super hosts! Mary make a brilliant cooked breakfast each morning which was delicious! Our room was very clean, spacious and well equipped! A unique feature of this B&B is that Pat does a daily 9km walk along the Cliffs of Moher. This is an exclusive walk as farmers in the local area give land so that a trail would be built to give the best view of the Cliffs! Please note these views cannot be achieved from the Cliffs of Moher visitor Centre! The cost is €10 which is included in the cost of the B&B! Otherwise you pay Pat at the end of the walk! Pat starts the walk at O'connors pub at 10am each morning and everyone is welcome, the views are unique and spectacular and you walk close to the edge of the Cliffs! Overall we had a fantastic time at this B&B, Marys breakfasts and Pats walk are not to be missed! …
We had a wonderful stay and throughly enjoyed Mary and Pat! The rooms were cozy and felt like home. The views are breathtaking! Mary was very hospitable and cooked an amazing Irish breakfast. We stayed two nights and will definitely stay again the next time we visit Ireland.
You will never forget the view of this B&B of the Atlantic Ocean. This working farmhouse has been in the family for several generations. Just a few minutes from the town where we had a great dinner listening to authentic Irish music. The B&B has big rooms and Breakfast was great. Don’t forget to throw the ball for the dogs
What a wonderful start to a dream vacation! Mary is a wonderful hostess she provided great advise to these first time travelers. The farm is in a great location. You can see the ocean from all points. We love dogs so we enjoyed the two that live there. The Cliffs of Moher are close and beautiful. We had a great breakfast with another couple and shared a view of a rainbow. The night was windy and rainy which added to the experience. The harbor is a must see. We had a nice meal in town. Mary and Pat are great!
We had a very pleasant stay! Mary was very friendly and very patient as we came in later than expected! Our room was very nice and breakfast was delicious! Mary was also very helpful with directions and recommendations! 👍👍
This B&B was so beautiful. Mary was such a lovely host with her 2 cute dogs!! The room was lovely and bed comfortable. Wonderful breakfast!!! A very lovely B&B would recommend staying at! Very close to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher!
Working farm and houses a lovely couple. Back room had a nice view of the barn (and a tractor) PLUS an ocean view beyond. Cows right out back. The breakfast was everything you’d want - and more. Mrs Sweeney is lovely. Pat Sweeney, fifth generation of farmers on the land up by the cliffs, gives a 3.5 hour uncrowded exquisite tour/hike to the tops of the cliffs of Moher. Going with him avoids the thousands who see the cliffs from the visitor center. He dots it with personal history and it’s free if you stay at his B&B. It’s a very rigorous walk, so you should be in reasonable shape. My husband and I just did it this week, we are 73, and it was a highlight of our Ireland trip.
Mary and Pat Sweeney run a quaint farmhouse on top of the Cliffs of Moher. Mary is sweet and attentive to guests, and you have to take Pat’s Cliff walk adventure! My second time staying here, and hopefully not my last. Pictures are of Pat showing my daughter puffins on the Cliffs and keeping everyone safe on the walk (I think he’s doing yoga poses - lol) Thanks Mary and Pat!
We were so happy to have had the opportunity to stay here. We drove to Doolin near the end of "Visiting Hrs" at the Cliffs and needed to get into town for dinner before the kitchen closed. And this was the perfect place. We were greeted at the door by Pat and the dogs before Mary got home from the store, and they were lovely people. They showed us right to our adorable room before we set off for the cliffs. We had a wonderful evening in Doolin and a sumptuous, delicious breakfast the following morning. Mary gave us recommendations on what to see and do on our way out of town to the Burren. Would go back to Doonagare farmhouse in a heartbeat!
