Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was in Doolin and booked table in Restaurant- place was busy and we were seated. Menus eventually were handed out and we waited quite a while to order. There was no organization in the Restaurant, some people were standing around talking and the staff didn’t seem to know what was happening. Manager badly needed to supervise - we waited at least 40 minutes for food which was ok when served but the waiting time was awful.

In Fitz bar and resturant the staff Paul Kieran Colm and Brian went out of their way to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our nights out. The food was excellent. The staff friendly and informative. They made sure we were served quickly and explained the menu (Desert) very well

Myself and my partner stayed at hotel Doolin for 2 nights and found that the experience with customer service was fantastic. Each and every member of staff was friendly, approachable, polite and 100% went above and beyond to make our stay as good as it was. Bed room was clean, tidy, comfortable and well equipped. Free wifi was available in the hotel and reached our room which was fantastic, given Doolins remote location and reduced signal for Internet use this was a lucky extra. There was a minor issue with a loose shower head and small leak but staff quickly had this repaired without an issue. Food was beautiful and well presented. Drinks where readily available from one of the multiple bar counters on site and the Expresso Martinis are a must try ! For the price charged for the stay I cannot recommend this place enough and suggest that anyone considering visiting Doolin strongly considers a night or 2 with Hotel Doolin. Thanks again to the staff and we look forward to a visit in the future. Matt and Rebecca

On a day out from Galway, we stopped for lunch at this pub/hotel. It had a lovely atmosphere and gave good service. The lunch there was the best part of a very misty day. We both had the beef stew in guiness with mash together with half a pint of the local larger. £36 total bill.

We were guests here for a wedding and bbq the following day. The hotel itself is fabulous and rooms and cottages are incredible. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Especially the night bar staff Stephen and Mariusz. They looked after everyone and nothing was no bother to them. I would gladly return.

Bar - Very basic food and quite expensive for the offering. Rest of hotel is quite nice so the bar offering was a surprise being underwhelming. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Better value elsewhere in the area.

Receptions, who was from Donegal, was such a pleasant person. Perfect for the position she held. Met her on arrival and again departing. would have stayed for the weekend but booked late and was luck and glad to get even the one night

I cannot speak any higher of Hotel Doolin for a wedding venue, let alone any other occasion. My family and I travelled to Hotel Doolin several times before the wedding and the service, standard and staff were consistently incredible. From the wedding specific staff....Jeannen, Paul, Megan, Daniel ,Jane, Nadine, Shane, Aoibhann ,Erin they were at our every beckon call from the organising to the night before, the day itself and the day after. They truly made us all feel so welcomed and at home!! Cannot recommend the food enough, the choice for the wedding meal is so good and not to mention the breakfast was amazing thanks to Sissel &Tracey. The team at reception were amazing at helping guests and flexing to any of our needs!! Thanks again, Alma, Yasmin & Sarah. Finally if you are looking to have a wedding late it to the night and having a great bar to end your party in Fitz is just the perfect spot, again the staff Adam, Marius- Stephen looked after us so well!!

Went in on a Monday night, it was very busy. We waited a good bit on our table but was put on a waiting list as soon as we walked in by Susie. When a table was vacant we were sat down and orders were taken promptly. Drinks arrived quickly and with a smile from Larry. We had a fish and chips and 2 starters, all was incredibly yummy! Fresh and light fish and the pasta was creamy and very nice. Thanks to Joe and Miro in the kitchen! Great pints too! Definitely a place to keep coming back to!

I recently supported a person who had lots of additional needs to have a holiday here and to say everyone went over and beyond is a understament. from the minute we landed everything from our physical to nutritional needs were met. the person was made feel like royalty. the reception staff rang up every day to discretly know what could they do to help on that day. The serving and catering staff prepared meals just right and being very busy was not even a issue. The housekeeping staff were at our beck and call and no request was a problem. The hotel is beautiful but for us it was the staff who made the holiday. other hotels should look to Hotel Doolin as a example and standard as to how people who require a lot
