First, the location cannot be beat. Second, the hosts are so genuine and hospitable. Even the dog was welcoming! We had a lovely one night stay here in September. The room was dated and the bed was small-ish for European standards, but they are moving into a new location. The breakfast was amazing and Marian was a gem! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone staying in Doolin. Look them up, I believe they are now Sheedy's Doolin...if you have the chance, stay with them! We will most definitely stay again if given the chance.
We stayed 3 nights. Marion is the top of the line hostess. She is super nice and helpful with anything you need to know. She gave us recommendations of routes around the Burrens and led us to the Burrens Perfumery, a gorgeous oasis in the Burrens that serves an array of yummy treats and tea as well as a shop of wonderful smelling soaps, candles, etc made from their own gardens that you can walk through. Their dog Beans is around in the morning loving to be petted and breakfast is top notch with many great made to order dishes. I loved the Gourmet breakfast with Salmon, beetroot, and brie cheese on egg and my wife was hooked on the apple stuffed pancakes. They have been renting for 12 years and will be opening the new Sheedy's Doolin in December. I wish them the best and highly recommend staying with them as Marion is the best in the business.…
I am recommending this place as our family favorite. The rooms were fantastic! It was raining and cold out but you can hear the rain on the skylights which made our suite very cozy! Marian and her daughter went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! The breakfast was diverse and you definitely can taste and see the professional culinary skill in each plate that came out to our table. We enjoyed the quietness of our rooms as well as the assistance for places to dine for dinner. We cannot leave out their lovely dog Beans. He is quite the character and after a long day of driving, he was the friendliest host! Marian, thank you for the directions to the Morrison Gallery, even though it was closed, we were able to see the incredible coastline and visit the neighboring village! We will be going back when Sheedy's open! They are so close to the cliffs that you can hear the ocean all night long!…
Although we only stayed one night, it was a pleasure to meet Marion and Frank who make Roadford House the place to stay in Doolin. We were four couples who stayed in July and had a lovely evening walking to McDermott's Pub for dinner and music. Next morning we had a delicious breakfast, the table was lovely and everyone enjoyed the numerous choices offered. We wish them much luck on the opening of their new B & B, Sheedy's Doolin.
We stayed at this accommodation before visiting the cliffs of moher. Great location, probably 10 minute car drive to cliffs, less than 5 minute walk to pub where good food and music was had. We stayed in several accommodations in Ireland and they had the best bed. Enjoyed the breakfast too.
