Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only getting around to writing this now but I felt that I had to due to how memorable our stay was. This is just the most perfect b&b in every sense. The welcome we received was not your standard welcome....we were offered baileys coffees! The breakfast was also exceptional and it is the only b&b I've ever stayed in where all the guests interacted over breakfast which was lovely. Kate was so friendly and was also able to give us great recommendations. I really could not recommend Kate's Place more highly.

We chose Kate's Place as our B&B in Doolin due to its proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. Upon arrival, Kate greeted us and served us tea. We were nearing the end of our vacation in Ireland and asked if we could wash our clothes. Kate did our laundry for us and even folded it. We were blown away by the service. Kate gave us directions to walk down into town and to visit O'Connors for dinner and live music. We loved every second of it and even went back to O'Connors the next day. The walk was easy and felt safe. The B&B had an en suite bathroom, a view of horses and a comfortable bed. We were very pleased with every aspect of the stay. Breakfast was served at a family style table and we met the other guests who were from all over the world. It was fantastic! Kate kept our bags for us as we explored the cliffs the next morning (she gave us directions to hike out there on our own). There's a parking lot available at the B&B and the rooms are secure. We'll definitely stay at Kate's place again when we go back to Doolin!

We stayed at Kate's Place in April of 2015. Our room was impeccably clean and well-appointed. Kate and Charles were warm and friendly and the breakfasts were to die for. I strongly recommend Charles' french toast-amazing!

We visited the Doolin area this past July 2015 for two nights. I had never stayed at a B&B and did not know what to expect. I was overwhelmed with the hospitality and friendliness of both Kate & Charles. It was also my daughter's 19th birthday and Kate went out of her way to bring her a birthday cake and sing Happy Birthday when we had our afternoon tea. It really was special and made the trip most memorable. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this B&B to anyone. Everything they recommended was wonderful and we had a fabulous time. We loved the free wi-fi, the food, and the rooms. We booked three rooms and all of them were perfect.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful bed & breakfast in Doolin. Kate & Charles are the most amazing and welcoming hosts and from the moment you arrive they make you "feel at home". Our room and bathroom was spacious and beautifully furnished & decorated - wonderfully quiet location and with gorgeous views from the windows. There are tea & coffee making facilities in the bedrooms with biscuits, fresh water every day, television and free wifi throughout the b&b. Breakfasts are a feast - buffet of fresh fruits, cereals, juices, home-made scones and muffins.....then a menu with a choice of cooked to order - the breakfast certainly sets you up for the day and conversation with other guests at the breakfast table was a lovely way to start the day. Kate's Place is in a fantastic location and just a couple of minutes walk to O'Connor's pub (down a quiet lane). Highly recommended place to stay to enjoy the evening music sessions and meals in the various pubs in Doolin...and by day a great base to explore the Burren, Cliffs of Moher and the Wild Atlantic Way. Thank you so much Kate & Charles for an absolutely wonderful & perfect stay - we will be back! Mary & Greg

Stayed with Kate and Charles early September for 2 nights. Their hospitality and breakfast were first class. Local knowledge was amazing and rooms perfect. Kate's porridge is without a doubt the best porridge I have ever tasted in my life and it kept me going throughout the day. We really enjoyed the breakfast room, catching up with other like minded travellers and sharing stories and ideas. The little girls were a delight and it was up to us how much time we spent chatting to them, Kate and Charles were very aware that it was our holiday, not to be disturbed. Location fabulous. Thank you Kate and Charles.

I everybody! Me and my boyfriend stayed at Kate's Place last May: it was his gift for my Master Degree! And I have to tell you: I couldn't get better gift! When we landed, we rent a car and arrive to Kate's place around 9.30 pm with delay but Kate waited for us and welcome us with her sweet smile and instantly made us feel at home! The B&b is really near to the start point of Cliff of Moher trail (about 3 minutes walk), to the O'Connels pub (I really suggest it for the food, company, music and magic atmosphere) and, if you rent a car, to all the interesting places to visit around Doolin, including the Wild Atlantic Way! The b&b have 4 room and a common room for breakfast that has 2 armchairs with a little table to have a rest, shelves with English and french books and a lot of movies, a single big table to have breakfast and talk together with other guests! Our room has a double big bad, a table on which there were always hot water for a cup of warm tea, 2 biscuits,a bottle of water and television for watch dvds. The bathroom has a nice shower, hair dryer and towels! Everything clean and cozy! I met really nice people, first of all Kate who always was sweet, helpful and willing to stop and have a chat with us! Making breakfast with other guests is really a good choice and make people from different countries know each other and, why not, improve your English ( for me it was a great help cause I'm shy and not very self-confident). I hope to be back soon!

We were very happy to stay 4 nights in Kate's place. Our room was very nice, we had lots of space even if we were travelling with our baby. The breakfast are delicious and Kate and Charles are very kind and make you feel right at home. We cannot wait to come back here.
