Arrived with our children on Friday 30th May to find a smelly uncomfortable house with dreadful kitchen. Rusty fridge, dirty tables and chairs and stained carpets throughout the rest of the house. It was truly awful. Phoned the emergency number several times to no joy and finally checked out the following morning after getting very little satisfaction from the management agency or west coast holidays. I have emailed twice and posted pictures and despite having my money reimbursed I just know the house will continue to be let out in the same terrible condition for the rest of the summer. Poor management and terrible cleaners. House needs to be totally refurbished.

First impressions were not good,there was no one to meet us on arrival.We had to collect the key from the Doolin Activity Center 4kms away. We spent a few hours cleaning the kitchen, drawers,fridge,mugs,cutlery all needed cleaned and sterilized.D/s toilet was constantly smelly. The Bathroom toilet didn't flush and the bath had a hole in it.Waste water from en-suite flowed onto the patio, making it slippy and dangerous and attracted flies. Most of windows didn't close properly and they had paper wedged into them to keep the rain and cold out.The mattress on double bed had broken springs.Carpet and walls in the hall were filthy. Electricity charges @€50 a week were a ripoff.We were offered another house in the complex but they were just as bad.West Coast Holidays the booking agency offered me another house many miles away. We had to go court to get a refund.The Judge was appalled when we produced photos of the condition of the house.West Coast Holidays hadn't got the decency to turn up in court.They obviously don't care about their customers or repeat business. The holiday home was rated as a "5* LUXURY HOMES" they only deserve one*. I complained to Failte Ireland and its taken them 9mth to reduce the rating to 4*. Which in my opinion cannot be right unless the owners went to the expense of replacing the windows and carrying out other remedial work. So folks i have no faith in the rating system in this country. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!…

I stayed in this holiday village from Thursday January 24th for 3 nights, and must say, the cottages were very comfortable. There was plenty of room in each of the bed rooms, and the kitchen/dining room was very comfortable too.
