Moloney House is a 25-year-old purpose built bed and breakfast in the heart of Doolin. The home is situated on a 50-acre beef suckler family farm and overlooks the 500-year-old ruins of Doonmacfelim Castle to the rear of the home across the Aille River. There are six en-suite guestrooms and a comprehensive made-to-order breakfast menu is served every morning. The home is a 5-10 minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and shops. It is only a 5 minute walk to the start of the coastal trail that takes you to the Cliffs of Moher (approximately an 90 minute walk). It is a 20 minute walk to the Doolin Pier where you can take a ferry to the Aran Islands. We hope you enjoy your time in Doolin and your stay at Moloney House!
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

We had a room which looked over a field across the street from the house and enjoyed watching horses and their colts running around. For breakfast I had smoked salmon and freshly made rhubarb compote which was so fresh tasting. They provide laundry service which was so convenient at the halfway point of our vacation. Simply drop off a basket at the front desk and when you return later in the day it is sorted and folded on your bed.

If Frank and Mary Ellen's place (Moloney House) is available book it quick and satay for a few nights! You will not be disappointed on any level. This is a lovely, lovely guest house. It is 100% clean (not one bit of dirt) and comfortable. I was lucky enough to see all the rooms because right after I checked in a group of 10 traveling together from MN checked in and they all wanted to compare rooms. Each room is done beautifully and includes beautiful bedding and towel, a kettle, water, and a lovely view. The breakfasts are made to order and Frank trained as a chef so it was absolutely delicious. Not one thing overlooked. There is plenty to do in this area so treat yourself to a few nights at the Moloney House.

Seriously this place was the best accommodation I got to stay in for my entire tour!
The location is absolutely perfect - only a few minutes walk to all the bars and it’s honestly just the prettiest town!
The hosts were so organised and the breakfast was out of this world great.
The sitting room open to all guests had a beautiful fire place that was perfect to all sit together after the long day of activities we had.
But the biggest thing to note? This place is crazy spotless clean. Not a speck of dust or marks to be seen.
Overall absolutely fantastic. So disappointed that I could only stay a night! Do yourself a favour and spend a while at this great accommodation and pretty town.

We Loved the Moloney House, and we fell in love with Frank & Mary Ellen. The location is perfect and Frank & Mary Ellen helped us so much with maps, best roads to take to get safely where we wanted to go, pub recommendations, etc. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast every morning was AWESOME and we enjoyed lively conversation with F & M and other guests. I am telling everyone to include the Moloney House in any trip to Ireland. Go, enjoy. We sure did.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moloney House. The hosts Frank and Mary Ellen were so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, particularly the french toast, cooked to order with generous portions and variety. The property was impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed and centrally located to several wonderful pubs with traditional music as well as the Cliffs of Moher. We stayed in several places during our trip to Ireland and Moloney House was by far our favorite place.

We had a fabulous stay here. The breakfasts were a perfect way to start each day. The hosts were friendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend staying here while in Doolin and area. It was the perfect walk into the village and not far from the pier to catch ferries to the Aran Islands.

Our stay as a family of four was wonderful if not too short. The house is set up perfectly for a comfortable stay to explore the area. If I would change one thing it would have been to stay longer.
The owners were amazingly accommodating and even did some laundry for us. On our way out we forgot some items and they very kindly sent them to our hotel in Dublin where we received them in perfect condition.
We slept in a little and again our hosts were gracious and made a savory breakfast for us that was simply perfect.
We will stay here again when we come back in the future!

This couple have nailed their product. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in and we have been travelling around Ireland for over 2 weeks. Beds are very subjective but think floating clouds and lightness and you'll be right on it. If food is more your thing then try the Baileys porridge, scrumptious and not too filling as you need to make room for the brown soda bread. Anyway you get the idea. Give it a try and make your own mind up.

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful hosts. Awesome breakfast. Ample parking. The room is large, comfortable and the ensuite bathroom is of good size. We hiked the cliff walk for 5 miles to the visitor center and it took the bus [Route 350] back. Gus O'Connor's Pub is 5 minutes walk and Anthony's restaurant is across the street. Both offering live music Doolin is a very small Quint down with 3 pubs and a few restaurants. Limited public transportation and no cabs. You do need a car to go there and get around. But a beautiful town to stay and spend some time

Staying at the Moloney House in Doolin was a perfect slice of Ireland. The house is clean and the rooms are classical in style, and the hosts could not have been more kind or accommodating. The house is nestled in Doolin which is a quaint town by the water just a 15 min drive from the Cliffs of Moher. It’s a 5 min walk away from a couple of local restaurants and pubs that make it the perfect Irish experience. Would highly recommend staying here.
