Moloney House is a 25-year-old purpose built bed and breakfast in the heart of Doolin. The home is situated on a 50-acre beef suckler family farm and overlooks the 500-year-old ruins of Doonmacfelim Castle to the rear of the home across the Aille River. There are six en-suite guestrooms and a comprehensive made-to-order breakfast menu is served every morning. The home is a 5-10 minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and shops. It is only a 5 minute walk to the start of the coastal trail that takes you to the Cliffs of Moher (approximately an 90 minute walk). It is a 20 minute walk to the Doolin Pier where you can take a ferry to the Aran Islands. We hope you enjoy your time in Doolin and your stay at Moloney House!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This B&B is charming - very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well-located. Mary Ellen and Frank take excellent care of their guests and the breakfasts are phenomenal! Plus, they are a fascinating couple to talk to. It was hands down the best place we stayed in Ireland!

We stayed at the Moloney House after a long day of hiking at the Cliffs of Moher. The location is very close to the cliffs and it is truly the Irish countryside. Beautiful setting. We had never stayed at a B&B but we drove away wishing we had spent more time there. Frank and Mary were very kind and gracious hosts. The room was quaint and incredibly clean. The house is a few minutes walk from some great restaurants. The full home cooked Irish breakfast hit the spot. The experience was wonderful and I hope to return. Lastly, Frank knows the area really well and gave some tips on the route to our next location. It made our drive 10x easier on some of the narrow Irish countryside roads!

We had a wonderful stay with you! The location is excellent for nightlife in Doolin and close to Doolin pier for daily excursions. The room was pleasant and the breakfast was incredible- first time I had porridge with Irish cream liquor- the best!

Probably the best food we had at any B&B on our tour. The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. Mary Ellen is very friendly, as is her husband, the chef. I also liked that there was a living room/parlour area where you could sit & relax outside of your room. The shower is a little bit of a struggle - the water does get the floor wet. But it is a great shower. Also loved how roomy the breakfast room is - sometimes B&Bs are so tightly packed.

Our stay as a family of four was wonderful if not too short. The house is set up perfectly for a comfortable stay to explore the area. If I would change one thing it would have been to stay longer. The owners were amazingly accommodating and even did some laundry for us. On our way out we forgot some items and they very kindly sent them to our hotel in Dublin where we received them in perfect condition. We slept in a little and again our hosts were gracious and made a savory breakfast for us that was simply perfect. We will stay here again when we come back in the future!

We had a wonderful two-night stay with our family (young adult kids) at Moloney House. It was our first B&B stay and a great experience. Both rooms were very comfortable with private baths. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed chatting with our hosts. Easy to walk anyway in town. Highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved this place. Frank and his family were very welcoming, and it had the best bathroom of any place we stayed. Very well thought out and clean, the most delicious breakfast of anywhere we’ve stayed, and very close to the amazing Cliffs of Moher.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moloney House. The hosts Frank and Mary Ellen were so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, particularly the french toast, cooked to order with generous portions and variety. The property was impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed and centrally located to several wonderful pubs with traditional music as well as the Cliffs of Moher. We stayed in several places during our trip to Ireland and Moloney House was by far our favorite place.
